I never watch this.  I will order Julie & Julia on HD instead.

Oh, and get this -- I went to see Life During Wartime at the cinema last week, and then when I got my cable bill yesterday it was listed that I'd ordered On Demand... wtf.

And you don't even want to know about the notice I got from the electric utility on Friday -- I just spent an hour making a spreadsheet to prove that they're 110% incorrect and will be making a nasty diva-filled phone call in the morning.  On another separate note my budget billing with them more than doubled after running my A/C every day since May.

Give them hell tomorrow.
My electric has been running high - cause of the hot weather here - mine is running around $110 month with budget billing.

Mine was $62 and just went up to $128 which is the highest it's been in five years (though in fairness the $62 was the lowest it's ever been, but still that's a huge leap.)

You beat me to it. I hope everyone else is not finding the Emmy's dull tonight.  I am finishing a book while watching and Hub is visiting w/people about tractors and trucks on the internet. Somehow it seems like this years show is missing a wow factor. Moments of interest,  but nothing to  jump up and down about.

with all the 100 degree days this summer, our  electric bill was $310.00 this month. Second month straight it has been over $300.00 almost half a disability check just to stay 78 degrees!  I hate summer rates! Make them feel like their momma just caught them doing something they shouldn't have.

I thought the songs Jimmy Fallon sang for the shows that are gone now , like 24, Law & Order and Lost, was pretty funny.  I changed the channel after that.

Philly- Please tell me your kidding or I read something wrong about the movie charge?

I thought the Modern Family skits were funny where the network is suggesting changes.  Jimmy's songs were pretty good and enjoyed the slap to NBC and Leno over how Conan was treated.

I need to get on this budget billing.  My elec/gas come in one bill and has been around $270.  The gas is only like $20 of that.  The rates have gone up each year.  I don't even understand the water bill.  It always says we used either 7,000 or 9,000 gallons bi-monthly.  I don't understand how it can be exactly the same each time.  They must be averaging or something.

Damn , your rates suck. We are in ten room house, but we do have the downstairs and 1 bedroom closed off. Glad we were able to put in some major insulation and new windows and doors before we got sick. We burn wood all winter for heat to keep from using gas, so we do our bill averaging that way.  Runs about $96 per month for electric in the winter months. 1 room has electric heat. About 20 ranks of wood heats the rest of the house.
