Was wondering......
« on: July 23, 2009, 01:55:32 pm »
Hi, I have a question concerning HIV tests.

To cut to the chase I was just curious if there is a possiblity that a negative test via blood could ever come out wrong. Because for the past couple of months April-July I haven't been feeling well at all and everytime I go to the doctor they diagnose me with something else, either Tonsilitis, or Thrush, or Bacterial infection and even Mono. However one Doctor brought up an HIV test and asked me if I was at high risk. When I told her I was gay and I do use protection she asked me if I have unprotected oral sex as to which I replied yes. She then informed me that there is still a risk with oral sex especially since i Have been having alot of throt/mouth problems. So I asked her if she could test me for that umong other things. Well she took blood and urine sample and I waited a week and a half and got the results and she said everything came back negative even the HIV and that my iron was only low. But since she had told me that oral sex was a risk I was just curious as to how accurate is a the hiv blood test and if it could ever be wrong. I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you

You have protected sex with anal sex. NO RISK
You don't use protection with oral sex. NO RISK

There's no reason in HIV science to doubt the validity of your negative test result. We do hear from time to time of someone claiming to have become infected through giving oral. Under careful scrutiny those claims never seem to hold up.

Your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which are very effective at preventing the transmission of viable HIV.

If your symptoms continue I suggest talking again with your doctor or perhaps getting a second opinion as to what is causing your problems.

This is not an HIV situation.

Cheers.

Can I get HIV from ruff sex/Cum shot to the face?
« Reply #3 on: October 19, 2009, 10:33:36 am »
Hi, This is going to be a little vulgar so I apologize in advance, But I have been having sex with this guy (I'm a male as well) and we ALWAYS use protection however, I like REALLY REALLY REALLY hard sex with him choking me and fucking me hard and deep and fast. What I am worried about is if there is any chance the condom could break or is it pretty secure, I haven't noticed it breaking or anything but I was just curious. Also He usually cums all over my chest of face and Since I have him choke me I usually get scraps on my shoulder/kneck. Is there a possibility of getting HIV this way? What about if I get cum in my eyes or nose or mouth? Although he says he's negative I was in his bathroom and found a bag full of big pills and I could read what they were and it got me kindof worried so I guess that's why I am questioning my activity with him. Please let me know if I should be worried. Thanks a mill.

Jimmy, I've merged your threads. Please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread.

As long as the condom doesn't break it doesn't matter if you are having what you call rough sex. And if the condom breaks you would know it because it's not a matter of teeny weeny little holes. The whole thing gives and ends up looking like a fringed hoop on the guy's penis.

As for getting cum on various parts of your body that is not a risk. Though there is concern sometimes about getting cum in the eye, I've never known of a confirmed case of transmission in that manner. As far as sex is concerned as long as condoms are used consistently for anal intercourse by the insertive partner you will be well protected.

Other STDs are much easier to acquire so we do recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to regularly have a full STD panel done. That means at least once a year.

Cheers.

alil worried

Ok I might just be freaking out but I had to come here to ask to see if I was at risk for being infected. I had met this guy online last nite and our original plan was just to meet up and jerk off together, well one thing led to another and I ended up fucking him (me being the top and him being the bottom) the thing that worries me is prior to meeting up with him maybe 10 mins before I did a quick shave down there with the buzzer just to clean up alil and I had cut myself which i didnt notice before us fucking but after I realized that i was bleeding a tiny bit. When we were fucking his ass juices were leaking out alot and I most likely got some in my sore! Not only that but after we fucked i took off the condom and jerked myself off to cum with his ass juices being everywhere and even on my hand! I was just curious if his ass juices got into my sore can i be infected and also if i rubed some of his ass juices into my dick hole while i was jerking off to cum can i also be infected? I herd that ass juices contain 25 times as much hiv virus then cum does. is that true as well? I hope you can answer all my questions and let me know if i need to get tested. Thanks for your help in advance!

A nick like that would not have put you at risk. The important thing is that you wore a condom for anal intercourse, which is exactly what you are supposed to do. His anal juices being on your hand or wherever are not a risk. If it was even present, HIV is a fragile virus and not transmitted in that manner.

Keep wearing a condom everytime for anal intercourse and you will be well protected against HIV transmission sexually.

Thanks Andy for your responce. You made me feel alil at eeze I just want you to clarify though. The nick from the razor left me bleeding in the area right by my dick and when we were having sex it did get really messy his juices were everywhere and when i went to clean up i noticed that some of it was on the cut. Did that put me at risk at all? I mean its an open sore with anal juices isnt that a cause for concern? Please let me know if im being ridiculous or if I should go get tested. Thanks.

Jimmy,

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once hiv finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

His "juices" were outside the body. They did not put you at risk. We'd tell you if we thought they did. They didn't.

And by the way, I hope you're using (water-based) lube when you have anal intercourse. Not using lube can lead to the condom breaking. If you ARE using lube, then the "juices" were most likely to be mainly lube. If you are NOT using lube, then you better start.

As for testing, YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT.

However, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Keep using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple! Read through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them correctly and with confidence.
