is anyone else having issues with the "quote" button?
« on: March 11, 2010, 05:04:36 pm »
All day long it's not worked for me -- I just get this green bar that says "Loading" and it never stops "loading".  I know one other person, Hellbottom, said he was also encountering this but I thought I'd ask other before I bother Tim Horn about it.

Actually, I can quote, I just can't edit.

The edit icon in the lower right hand corner is made of fail at the moment. But "Modify" still works. Quote is also hosed.

Good thing none of you dreary fags ever say anything worth quoting.

You should fire an email missive in Tim's general direction.

Going to look into the problems editing entries.

I'm not having any problems quoting other messages. Anybody else experiencing the same problem Philicia's reporting here?

Not quoting from a message, but the "insert quote" function once I've started a reply doesn't work any more.

Same at Matteh, I can get the quote function to work initially, but one I've started posting, I can't get the "insert quote" function to work.

I think we've nipped these problems in the bud. As always, don't hesitate to drop me a line if things get all screwy again: timh at aidsmeds.com.

I have given up trying to use the quote function . The problem is mine though , I'm dyslexic and the instructions on how it functions are hard for me to follow .

I read very well but instructions like that are sometimes hard to follow for me .
My reply always ends up inside the purple box along with who I'm trying to quote . I just quit using it because I didn't want to practice getting it right within a thread someone took the time to start .

Yes, it's working fine for me now.  Thanks Mr. Horn!

Just hit quote first and then put your mouse below any text and hit return a few times.  If you are still below the text start typing.  If not move the mouse and repeat til you are under all the text before you type.

ahhhhhhh! :-*  :-*

thank you. Not having the quote function was starting to become annoying but I really thank you for getting the preview button to work again. ;)

lordy knows my posts are such long-winded, rambling diatribes :D ROFL that I just have to preview them to know if I put enough smileys 8) in the msg to give some context to the tone of my words.  :P :D
