Shady Tricks
« on: September 15, 2007, 05:19:19 pm »
I did a stupid thing and brought home a guy Thursday night that turned out to be a bit shady.  He said and acted in a way that makes me think he was casing my house.  I may be paranoid but better safe then sorry right.

I live in a doorman building and have two locks on my metal front door - one a deadbolt.

Can you think of anything else I could do to be extra safe?

Thanks for your ideas

Pete

Did you warn the doorman to be on the look out?

ps:  stop frequenting The Ramble in Central Park :)

Well, if you have a dead bolt lock and he doesn't have the key, you should be good. Are you on a lower floor? Don't you have a kitty? My cat usually let's me know when someone is at the door cause he is so damn nosey.. ;D

Hi Queen

I am on the 6th so no worries about someone coming through the window unless he is Spidey

I do have a cat and actually Friday on the way home from work I was so scared that this douche might have broken in and hurt him or taken him.  I was literally on the bus fighting back tears.  When I opened the door and saw him I swooped him up and gave him kisses.

I am a total queen

Instead of bringing them home, you could meet them in the men's restrooms...tapping your feet under the stall, waving your hand under the stall wall... Oh wait... your not a senator....that wont work.... ;)

I think your pretty well protected, since your on the 6th floor and you have a doorman. There are motion sensor devices you can purchase, that can attach to the inside doorknob, of your apartment. The slightest movement of the doorknob, (from the outside, triggers a very loud audible alarm. While it won't prevent someone from using a battering ram from knocking your door in, it is a good deterrent. Their not that expensive. ( I can't remember where I purchased one quite a few years ago) they operate on a battery.

If this character is able to sneak a battering ram past the doorman, you might want to consider moving. Either that, or beat the thug to death with that dried out Turbot you prepared.

Pete, even IF the guy was "casing" your joint, (you should excuse the expression), it sounds like you have a pretty secure residence.

Maybe this is a way of cautioning yourself in the future about who you bring home? When hormones are rise up it can be hard (again, no pun) to think clearly. Actually inadvertently I think you've raised an important issue in relation to tricking and treating.

Anyway, this time I think you're ok though your instinct about the guy may have been on target.

Here's to you and your puss.

Well Pete....you do sound a bit "paranoid".
You sound like a big pussy too..........
here in West Mobile....we're having some kind of crime wave.  Nobody seems able to explain it.
Last week a couple was robbed at their house unloading groceries from their car...
You live on the sixth floor and have a doorman....how was he suppose to get into your apartment?
Sounds like somebody was bragging about the trade they brought home.
How was Shady guy???  Did he rock your world??

excusing you calling me a paranoid pussy, I like my shit and don't want it showing up on a blanket outside of the Port Authority for sale (NYC joke).

Doorman building is kinda a joke - they have a new person like every other day who never asks anyone "do you live here" unless they are carrying a semiautomatic.

He was OK , nothing to write home about.

BTW - my turbot turned out yummy you hateful queens  ;D

Sorry Pete....didnt mean to offend.
Indeed the doorman situation sounds "scary" to say the least.
You might wanna re-think bringing home TRADE if you're concerned about being robbed.
Of course there's no way to predict what someone will do....even those guys who seem
(if you'll excuse the term) straight up.

(Apparently Shady Guy was NO STUD in the sack)

After Hurricane Katrina I had to buy all new stuff.....and beside taking months to replace everything
...naturally I bought more than I had before....I spent a great deal of money on all my new high tech toys.
But like you, I'd cry like a baby (you can call me a pussy now) if something were to happen to my
babies (Patti & Pepper)

Unfortuantely no matter how someone looks you can never tell if they will steal your stuff or try and kill. Who would have ever thought bringing someone home that looked like Jeffrey Dahmer would be bad but look what happened to his victims. It is always chance when bringing someone home. One time I had this guy over who looked normal attractive etc. I go to the bathroom come out and I see a gun on the floor. Freaked me out. Turned out he is a police officier. I told him I wish he had of mentioned this before. Man that was freaky.

Then again I did invite him back. He was hot  8)

I hope your instincts are wrong and this guy isn't a thief. This thread made me realize I don't think I ever brought someone back to my place just for sex. Obviously my priorities were a little out of wack when I would show someone my dick but not my bedroom.

Bringing a random trick home is something *none* of us have ever done.  Don't leave your valuables out.  Don't fall asleep.  And make them leave when you are done.  Don't show them around etc etc.

The thing is, good thieves will case your place while making you trust them.  If it is so obvious what he is doing, he's probably not very good at it.  Not that that should be of any comfort.   Rule of thumb:  trust your gut.  If you think your so-called 'rough trade' is a bit too rough, then find an alley babe.

I had a freaking hot Latino lure me to a pier on the Hudson river in NYC near the cruising area by Christopher Street. Once on the pier 4 of his friends got knifes out and asked for my money. I'm still sad they didn't let me suck them all, but then again I gave them only $20. The other $60 were in my socks.

Milker.

I would not be surprised if it WAS Carlos -- I dated him and he LOVED Red Devils... AND we even met at The Monster.  He also sometimes hustled on "The Stroll" and would fake-mug old men in their cars and lift their wallets.

Nice guy though to me! :) hee hee... I never learned of his past sordid tricks until later and had a hearty chuckle.  He had the most perfect cock in the world, and would beg me not to shower after a night out dancing because he loved munching sweaty, stinky hairy man ass for hours and hours when he was really drunk.  Messy...

Unfortunately he also had a bad heroin addiction so I had to cut that one off.
