Going Insane... Please Help!
« on: July 29, 2018, 11:19:18 am »
So this is my story. Please help me and sorry for the length. I have been going crazy the past two months thinking I may have been infected because of the symptoms that I am having (I know the test is the only way of knowing for sure) but here is what has been going on:

May 20: First encounter with man. Performed oral sex and fingering. Frottage with his penis inside inner and outer labia. No penetration.

May 23: Second encounter. Same as first. It is here when I start noticing things are feeling strange and I get the worst lower back pain.

May 24/25: Horrible back pain but decide to ignore it.

May 27: Third encounter. Same as first but he fingers me with two fingers and I notice some blood on the sheets (probably from stretching my hymen) and decide to stop for about 10 min and clean it up. Frottage followed after this. Still no penetration.

May 28 - June 13: This is when I start feeling like complete shit. I get the worst fever and chills, discharge and itching in my genitalia, and just horrible discomfort down there. I look at myself in the mirror and have blisters on my lips and blisters on my inner and outer labia. Great... I have herpes now.

At this point I start researching about Herpes and its symptoms and then it occurs to me to research about other STIS to see if I could’ve aquired others. Turns out you need penetration for HIV which is why I kind of forgot about this incident and decided to wait until August (this is when I return to college) to get tested for all STIs since I am an international student. But then, other symptoms started popping up and this is when shit hit the roof.

July : Started having bleeding gums when I brush teeth. This had never ever happened to me before up until now.

July 14: I get two pronounced bumps on my stomach that itch from time to time. A week later they flatten down.

July 27/28: I get the worst acid reflux and abdominal pain ever, which is a first for me.

At this point my anxiety and stress levels have taken over me and I cannot sleep or think about anything but this incident. I even talked to the guy and asked him if he had penetrated me and he reaffirmed that he hadn’t. I also asked him to get tested, which he was very reluctant about, which  frightens me even more. I then went to get tested to have peace of mind and the person administering the test told me he couldn’t do it because I hadn’t had vaginal intercourse and he didn’t think I had it..

So please, if you can help me to relieve some of this anxiety and stress, I would greatly appreciate it.

Basically none of the symptoms you mentioned are hiv specific and the only hiv risk was so irrelevant that its not even worth testing over, giving a bj.

See a doctor treat whatever is making you sick and just test out of standard routine at least yearly for easier to transmit STIs and HIV

No shit, his status has nothing to do with you. Protect yourself and test out of standard routine at least yearly, stop expecting other people to test for you.

Thank you so much for your help. You have eased my worries a lot.

I recently went to get tested for easier to transmit STI’s and came back with negative results. The guy at the clinic also performed a rapid HIV test today, which was the finger-prick test, which also came back negative and told me that i did not need to come back for confirmation testing since I had not had penetrative sex and since he did not ejaculate inside my mouth.

So thank you so much for what you are doing in this forum and for having to deal with us anxious people. Your work is truly remarkable and I have certainly learned a lot from you and will educate people on the matter from now on.

I just wanted to post again so I could help other people going through what I went through these past couple of months and let them know that symptoms do not mean anything and to be healthy and get tested.

Once again, thank you.
