Thats the problem I had with Boo. To a point. And not to make this all serious and shit.
Once you assume other identitiers, you are not only disprespecting the forum and all, but you are treating your friends like rubes. And moreover, you are creating an atmosphere of paranioa and suspicion that makes newcomers feel unwelcome - or at least warily so. And that's dangerously disruptive to a forum like this.
Frankly, I don't care WHY someone chooses to create multiple identities. At the end of the day, it's a safe place or it isn't. And when we suspect every new person because of the actions of a few, then it simply isn't.
Yeah, this thread is funny and lighthearted. But it is also pretty serious. Because this site is rife for attacks. I find it sad when a "new" poster resurrects the posts created by someone on a "time out." Because that's just tipping your hand, dude.
But what I find particularly chilling is when a poster creates a new persona and attempts to worm his way into the crowd. Thats not just crazy. That's Serial Killer Crazy. That's clownshit.
I am thankful that we have enough insightful and wary people online to start to peg these people. For the longest freaking time, I felt like I was the only one.
And yeah, I know the mods would rather wait until someone slipped up. And I also know that they are helpless against the computer whizzes. But for Fuck's sake, this is a support forum for HIV. Can't SOMEONE take the party elsewhere? On a site for kitten afficionadoes and the like, I would have zero real problem with multiple identity and fakers. But here? Jesus. Like we don't have enough on our collective plates.
Those coming up to Atlanta in May? PM or call me, and we can meet for coffee or lunch or seventeen martinis and playstation. I am so not meeting a group. lesson learned. And how.

Sad thing is, I know physically I could take most of the F-Effers. Im short but Im sturdy. Not a muscleguy like before the PZCP but I can make a dent. Its only the sad anonymity of the intrawebs that makes them the least bit powerful.
