This guy had some huge balls.  He took on the Pentagon and society when being gay was seen as a mental disorder where you needed to be locked up.  I'm so glad he lived to see the repeal of DADT and other progress.

He was certainly a pioneer!  Rachel Maddow's show had a great synopsis of his efforts on Wednesday.  I will agree that it is uncanny irony that he died on coming out day.

A recap of our history explained in 20 minutes.  What a brave, brave man in many aspects.  Thanks for sharing the link.

Brass balls and more for sure. Talk about taking on a lonely crusade on his own in those days.

The postal department honors everyhing from movie stars to flowers. Would be great to see some gay heroes so honored and Frank Kameny would be a great one to start with. And have it issued on National Coming Out Day.

Thanks for posting this , I was so impressed by this man when reading about early Gay & Lesbian pioneers. It was great seeing the TV clips and learning that he kept all the material related to his work that he then donated to the Smithsonian.

Some lucky students studying 20 Th century civil rights have all that material.
So thanks Frank, you will not be forgotton.
