Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Massage, Hand relief, Nipple sucking

Hi

Im stressing myself over a low risk situation. On six different occassions ive had a massage with hand relief and once i sucked on the ladys nipple for about 5 mins. Is this 100% safe?

when i showered after these massages (sometimes a couple of hours later) there would be oil from the massage sitting behind my forskin. My concern would be if there was any sperm on her hand from a previous customer or even if she had a cut, could these fluids be mixed with the oil and somehow find a route threw the forskin mucous membrane?

Sucking on nipples i assume is safe too but again i was worried if she had any fluid coming out of the nipple, possibly breast milk. It was a dark room so i did not see and could not taste nothing but i dont know if breast milk has a taste.

I took a HIV1 & 2 p24 test which was negative. This was 5 weeks after my first encounter and 2 weeks after the last. What got me was that the doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks and re test because the last encouter was only 2 weeks ago. Why would she say this?

Just 1 more question. I caught a cold and had a sore throat recently but my mum and brother also woke up the same day with a cold too. If i this was AVS on my part could i have passed on the cold to them or are the sypmtoms of AVS not contagious?

Relax! There was absolutely no risk for HIV transmission in the incidents you're concerned about, including with oil having gotten under your foreskin. Even if her hands were dripping with cum from a previous client that wouldn't have been a risk for you.

HIV is a fragile virus transmitted only in very specific ways and from someone who's experiencing ARS to someone else is absolutely NOT such a way.

Thanks for the reply Andy.

I started to worry a little when the Dr told me to re -test in 2 weeks time even though she said during the consultation that my chance of being infected this way was many thousands to one.

Just out of curiosity. The average person shows antibodies at 30 days and you have said all but a few will show positive by 6 weeks.  Is it possible to put a percentage on how many show positive during these times?

There wasn't ANY risk in relation to those activites.

We don't get into quantifying risk level here. We simply consider each situation and respond accordingly.

The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. All but the very smallest number of those who are going to seroconvert will do so within 4-6 weeks after an exposure to the virus. This is all moot in your case because you did not have risk. Period.

I just wanted to get into my head that i didnt take a risk. I went threw a stressful time a few years ago with an unprotected sex incident and this has left me paranoid/phobic with being infected with HIV and even more so now because i will be back with my wife in a few weeks who i have not seen in 3 months as i work abroad.
Just worried about giving something to her.

Although some other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV, nothing that you have described suggests to me there's any reason to be concerned about them either. Your incident was pretty straightforward massage and masturbation + you sucking on her nipple. None of that would be STD risky in my experience.

To me this is really another case of a straying husband dawg whose got the willies. You can't undo this bit of your history. See it, take a breath, let it go and get on with your life.

Thanks for the advise.

I wont re-test as the Dr suggested. It was a private clinic so maybe she said this to make more money from me or maybe just to put my mind at ease so i see a negative result with the most recent episode.
