Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

yES, one week after protected sex I had  sore throat, slight headaches, eye floaters , s, congestion, and a rash of about 10 red little marks on my body.

Protected sex is not a risk for HIV infection.

The risk factors for HIV are ...

Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.

Use condoms for vaginal and anal sex consistently and correctly and you will avoid HIV infection, it is that simple.

Im confused, My risk situation was 93 days ago, I have tested non reactive 3 times, but im scared about my symptoms identical to other users who recently tested positive, let me tell you that it was my first time having sex. thanks for your help

The symptoms you are having are not related to HIV you have tested conclusively negative . If you are sick go see your doctor and find out why because its not HIV .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV negativo con sintomas: petequias y moscas volantes en los ojos

 Hace mas de tres meses tuve una relación con una chica (solo una vez tuvimos sexo protegido excepto oral) y dos semanas despues comenzaron mis sintomas: dolor muscular, dolor de articulaciones, sudoracion de dia y dos veces de noche, cansancio extremo, comezon en el cuerpo, algunas petequias en el cuerpo y flotadores en los ojos, los sintomas han desaparecido a los 90 dias con excepcion de las petequias y flotadores en los ojos.

Me he realizado 4 examenes durante 120 dias y han resultado negativos con elisa cuarta generacion.

Tengo una inquietud, en el libro: The Encyclopedia of Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Gilbert, your threads are merged here as it is a rule of this site for members to keep all of their entries in the same thread and in the same language. This is the only thread you should be writing in. Thanks for your cooperation.

Floaters are not an HIV specific symptom. You have already reliably tested negative for HIV. We're not going to indulge you in a round of what ifs and doubts when clearly HIV is not your problem. If you continue to return here about the same incident you are going to find yourself getting a Time Out from the site.

If you have symptoms which concern you, discuss them with your doctor. HIV is not the problem. Period.
