just felt like complaining because im sick again :-(......
it seems like i constantly get colds/flus this year dont know if its HIV, overtraining at the gym lowering my immune system, or just bad luck lol....
I go in for my next labs the 28th so i guess ill know if the cd4's are low or not (there is a place here that practically gives everything for free if your under 25 $5 copay hehe)
ouch my bones ache and my head is pounding

Man, I know just how you feel! I have been sick A BUNCH this winter. On the ''severe cold'' kinda level...just shy of flu-like. And it has gone on and on and on...almost getting better again. Then wham! Back down. It claimed all of November and into December. And almost all of February til yesterday- I just stopped coughing for real yesterday. I've been sick enough that I have been one pissy-missy with most everybody for awhile.
I've had the flu shots and taken the multi-vitamins...and I am very adherent. Doing all the right things- still....blech! Physically down and out as often as not this past winter. I should be getting my latest counts in about a week, so we shall see how I am holding up on that end.

When I'm really sick I strip it off, put on some chaps, and do a LOT of vacuuming (preferably after 10:30 PM to annoy my neighbor!)

lol....why would i lift a finger vacuuming when i have a ROOMBA (love not having to sweep)...i need to find some other annoying thing to do :-O..
but i agree naked is the way to go (actually helps when you have a fever :-)

I used to look for coke in the clubs (much better than slums lol) ...its readilly available (but now i dont do that hehehe)
they got rid of that slum though :-O

No no no... I've done the club route -- TRUST. You are younger and hence much less experienced than myself, but I digress. The best has ALWAYS been in the slums in Caribbean islands. Santo Domingo trumps even San Juan... but the key is the enlistment of hustlers to lead the procurement and of course, share in the rewards. They KNOW where to go! It's all so logical, really.

im ready now...i feel better today....dont know how i went from feeling completly shitty to being ready to go jogging and weight lifting in 1 day .....dont know if it was the flu or what but at least it was over quickly

I have been off work since August last year with HIV related problems and have been travelling around 3 cities in Australia getting medical advice. They finally found out that the problem was related to benign brain tumor pressing on the left hemisphere of my brain. This has caused balance problems, ongoing problems with medications and really bad noises in my head.
I was diagnosed POZ in 2001 and have had a good life up until about 12 months ago when all this crap started. I have made a decision that I do not intend becoming reliant on friends or famiy a,d will decide in my own time when I should shuffle off this mortal coil.
In the meantim, I enjoy the company of my friends and some of my family and travel to Melbourne and sydney a fair bit to see friends there as well.
My employer is super supportive and backs me all the way.
I am 59 years old and live a life surrounded by a lot of younger and very understanding people - support from friends and family is important to anyone who is in the unfortunate situation of having HIV.

Hi guys - no I'm not a great tennis fan - its good to be able to chat to people with siimilar problems - I just try to get n with my life and act as if nothing is hapening - unfortunately the body doesn't always let me - I thing I need a new head to start with - it sounds like a steam train is shunting inside my head all the day - bloody thing - I wish it would take a break for a while
The idea above of getting naked excites me but mightn't thrill the neighbours.
When I go to Sydney and Melborne I meet with other Poz guys and we usually have quite a good time together

Welcome to the forum from the UK!
Sorry to hear you have a tumour and it is a shame that you had to travel all over to find that out, illness can be distressing enough. I wonder how many people on these forums have experiences of complaining about symptoms for a long time which are brushed off as some kin of psychosomatic illness only to find out later there is something wrong.
I have been poz for a fair while but lately I am struggling, tiredness, tinnitus, headaches, sore eyes. All in all pretty minor things but together make it worse esp when I work in a demanding job full time. i didn't have the amazing uplift the docs talk about when I started HAART and am begginning to think this is as good as it gets which is fine if that is the case and there isn't anything else.
Anyway Scud I am glad your employer is behind you 100%, I am going through a similar disclosure thing with mine and they seem to be supportive also.
Stick with it buddy :)

this is a great place to be...its helped me a lot by reading other peoples post and seeing that there are other people that understand what your going through.....some better, some worst off but everyone here cares which is what matters.....

Thanks Mark - I would love to travel to the States, but until the law prohibiting people with HIV is revoked , I can't. I understand that a change is underway in Congress to revoke the stupid Reagan Bill.
I hope you guys are keeping warm over there and not getting too much snow.
I'm going out for a walk now - back in a couple of hours
