Wonder Woman Gets New Look
« on: July 02, 2010, 02:27:55 am »
Wonder Woman is getting a new look and I don't like it.  I loved the TV version and have all 3 seasons on DVD.  I also love Superman, too, so no jokes.  ;D

Lynda Carter in the interview looks like she may still be hitting the sauce or pills.  Also, if you're an "Arrested Development" fan, you'll recognize "Mrs. Bluth" in an WW clip.  This all reminded me of when I saw a movie from the 70's called "Wonder Woman".  It starred Kathy Crosby and where she didn't have powers.  What a dud!

Can someone instruct me on how to put in-line images with posts!  I vaguely recall some discussion about this a little bit ago.  I will, in the meantime, search the forum instructions again.

Thanks!

Each image has a "location" on a server.  All you do is click the "Insert Image" button below the "Italics" button and it will put [ img ][ / img ] with no spaces in your post.  Place the web address that is your image's location inside the brackets.
[ img ]YOUR PICTURES LOCATION GOES HERE[ / img ]
If you are looking at a picture on a website full of images or text you can right click on the picture you want and select "copy image location" and that will give you just the image you want.

To avoid utilizing another website's bandwidth you're supposed to host your own images, but I find this to be an extreme pain in the butt so I never do it.  I just post photos very rarely and call it a day.

Why, will you send him to get us?

Lynda Carter just looks like she's had one too many face-lifts, like many aging so-called Hollywood stars.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Of course Wonder Woman isn't the only one taking names and kicking ass in a corset.

I would very much like to see a new Wonder Woman movie and a new Supergirl movie.  I have the old Supergirl movie around here somewhere and I loved it as a kid.

It's in her cleavage.

Yeah, I saw that article on Yahoo. I am not pleased with the changes either. This new version makes her look kinda hood ratish if you ask me. I prefer her earlier outfit. I loved Wonder Woman and use to watch it religiously. I was not thrilled with SuperGirl much at all.

And now they're even changing her storyline of being raised on the island with Amazons. That sucks. If it ain't broke don't fix it, damn it.

@Hellraiser:  Thanks for in-line instructions.

And, yes, the new Wonderwoman looks takes a little getting use to.

I know, right!  She would sometimes transform with her purse and would sometimes lay it down.  I would think, "Now, someone will steal that purse."  I remember the early part of the first season before they added the flaming explosion and she would turn around in slow-mo while taking off clothes.  And, how could she jump from a building in those hooker boots with those heels?  She would break an ankle.  Wait, she's Wonder Woman.  And, then there's Wonder Girl.  She was so awkward.

About 5 years ago, there was all this talk about a Wonder Woman movie starring Sandra Bullock.  I guess that got canned.

Had to modify-- Debra Winger on David Letterman and Dave is poking fun at Wonder Girl and shows clips.  At the end, Debra makes a transformation.  Seems she kept her costume.
