Just something that I found on my computer yesterday.

Some say the senator is crazy for his comments.This is how he responded to that.Senator Campfield says, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion."
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)--State Senator Stacey Campfield appeared on the XM radio talk show about his proposed "Don't Say Gay" legislation.

Stacey Campfield says, "He asked the questions and I answered straight and honest. He didn't like that, but I'm not going to lie and fluff things up. Lots of people like to glorify different lifestyles. I hate to say it, but homosexuality is not a healthy lifestyle."

He called the lifestyle harmful.

The senator said "AIDS came from the homosexuality community. It was one guy screwing a monkey if I recall correctly. An Airline pilot who then spread it to the homosexual community."
Senator Campfield still supports his first statement.

He says, "I hate to say it, but him having sexual relations with a monkey is a possibility. I haven't seen any proof one way or the other."

And something else raising eyebrows is his explanation of how AIDS spreads.

Senator Campfield says, "It's virtually impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex."

Tennessee State Senator Stacey Campfield on Sunday was denied service at a Knoxville restaurant over his anti-gay views.

The Republican lawmaker told ABC News that the owner of The Bistro at Bijou restaurant refused to seat him and his friends.

“We were just standing there waiting for a table, and this woman came up to me saying, 'I'm not serving you, I'm not serving you, you hate gay people,'” Campfield recollected. “I said, 'Ma'am I'm not a homophobe,' and I offered to send her links from the CDC website to back up what I said about homosexuality being a dangerous lifestyle, and being a risky behavior.”

Campfield created a firestorm of controversy last week when he said that a gay man was responsible for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, and that only gay men acquire the disease.

When Sirius XM radio host Michelangelo Signorile asked, “What's harmful about [homosexuality]?” Campfield asserted that “AIDS came from the homosexual community.”

“It was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. … It was an airline pilot, if I recall.”

“My understanding is that it is virtually – not completely, but virtually – impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex. … [It is] very rarely [transmitted vaginally],” Campfield insisted as Signorile denied the claim.

Campfield, the chief sponsor a bill dubbed “Don't Say Gay,” which would outlaw the discussion of sexual minorities in Tennessee's public schools before the ninth grade, defended his remarks.

“I was talking last week on a radio show and I said the homosexual lifestyle is a dangerous lifestyle. There are heterosexuals in Africa that do have it, but the odds of a person getting AIDS in America is much less unless you're having sex with a high risk group,” Campfield asserted.

Restaurant owner Martha Boggs said she tossed out Campfield because his “comments have gone from stupid to dangerous and I think someone needs to stand up to him.”

Perhaps in his mind the monkey was the pilot.

I will admit my brethren in my home state do have a certain way of looking at things I simply never agreed with. I have paid dearly for this as being the outcast of my own family... no sister or brother but yet they are out there.

Look Out Mountain is about the only good thing there..... oh, and of course, that ever so lovely Southern fried food we all love dearly.

Chelsea Handler discussed this issue last night on her show and there were some pretty funny comments. She said it was great that he was spreading the word that straights could not get HIV from having sex. She said men have been trying to convince her of that for years. She's glad that our leaders are informing the people that it's true.

I almost died laughing when Stacey said his civil rights had been violated due to his being a Catholic. Too bad he doesn't acknowledge the reality of gay and poz people being persecuted, fired from their jobs, thrown out of their homes and discriminated at every turn for the last few decades. How sad that he has no concept on how damaging his LIES about HIV infection are and just because he's using his lies to somehow justify his religious belief that homos are pure evil, does not equate to his civil rights being violated. Until the time that all gays have EQUAL RIGHTS, he should just put his butt plug back where it belongs... in his mouth.

Hmm, what makes me cynical and kind of sad? The fact that stupid men like this exist - and walk around with jobs and wear suits and think of themselves as good people. Or the absolute IDIOT sheep who respect them, work for them, go to their sermons, etc?

That waitress had the right idea. People like this should be completely discredited and shown no respect from any person with normal intelligence. It's a civil rights issue.
