Wasn't the weather fabulous this past weekend, Will?  I got on my motorbike for a few hours yesterday, and rode up to Granger, Bartlett, and Salado.

Mitch, so sorry to hear you are trapped in cold and snowy weather.  :-*

Our lows tomorrow and the next day are both 39F so really there's little difference. Sorry, Wumpella... you'll have to try again with the weather trolling.

is winter over yet?

Not quite yet !  :)  We've had the past two days with a lot of sea fog, that lasted until mid day before it burned off.

Caused some problems for Carnival @ the Port Of Tampa yesterday :

Today it's warm and muggy, about 80 degrees, weather is going to change tomorrow, with a 70 % chance of rain, And the rest of the week looks as though we will have a little cold snap.

Then,..I think that will be it

Ok Time for a lesson so put your thinking cap on. Texas is a vast, big, beautiful, glorious state encompassing some 300,000 sq. miles, and is 900+miles across and has 10 climatic regions. Thus, while Amarillo may be seeing a blizzard. South Texas can be basking in glorious life giving sunlight and warmth. hallelujah.

In other easier words...Texas big. To put it into East coast perspective, Amarillo is 5 states away from San Antonio.  :-*

Way to go Wumpy -- I mean "Texas"! ::)

The blizzard that hammered the nation’s midsection broke a 120-year-old record in Amarillo for one-day snowfall in February with 19.1 inches.

Amarillo  and the Texas Panhandle is the next State over from us...

we got hammered the night before, and after 2 days they just opened I-40 EAST thur the pass...

we had big rigs just sitting on the Freeway, and some of them were moved over to the State Fair Grounds, a lotta truckers were pissed-off-mad too

but they got things moving this afternoon and re-opened I 40 East

It's snowing here this morning but only at most 1" and in the northeastern section of the city, not so much downtown -- just flurries, but enough to cover cars. Light snow forecast until 2 PM :(

i rarely eat grapefruit and when i do i separate the segments with a knife and use a regular spoon.
don't want to take the chance of slicing my tender lips with a serated spoon. 8)

you had better book your visit soon as we are supposed to get in the 50 degree + zone starting Sunday for at least 5 days.

lol... the river there is about 1/4 of a mile wide. We call that a creek here.
the width of a river at any one particular point doesn't tell the whole story.
the volume of water flow paints a different picture.
Delaware River = 11,700 cubic feet per second
Connecticut River = 19,600 cubic feet per second

Our "little" river in our neck of the woods flows at 31,200 feet per second.  We swam across it once because it's only a 1/2 mile wide around Meigs County and about died.   :o  We ended up about 15 miles downstream from Ravenswood by the time we got across.

I believe Mitch has designs on Miss P.

I'm going to go visit her and stay in her mansion and revel in all that chartreuse.

It's 76 and drizzly here. It's so sticky, i have the AC on to de-humidy the air.

I was supposed to take my youngest fishing today out at Bastrop State Park, but had to cancel due to the Storms rolling in. So I am doing movie marathons in bed.
