Title: Clinical Trials?
Post by: idesnycguy on May 07, 2009, 08:08:11 pm
Does anyone know of any good clinical trials for truncal accumulation (belly) in the NYC area? I did some web searching but thought it was a good idea to check here.

I am meeting with my doc next week and want to suggest some-either that or eliminate my protease inhibitors from my regime. Can't live with the body changes anymore....

Hoping removing the protease won't effect the virus suppression that I have too much...

I'm not sure if there are any ongoing clinical trials but two drugs that have been and are being studied in relation to lipodystrophy are  Rosiglitazone and Metformin.

I was wondering, what are the drugs that you have been on since you started treatment?

I think one has suppression, or doesn't, so "too much" wouldn't really be acceptable, would it?
I wonder how I would feel in your shoes. The body changes are really psychologically difficult it seems.  But would one put up with treatment failure? hmmm
