What do I need to do?
« on: November 07, 2007, 07:01:27 pm »
I am about to rant but I have to so please forgive me. I lost my husband in march, had 3 mini strokes, the cat died, lost 2 jobs, had to give up guardianship of my daughter because I couldn't afford to keep her anymore, and decided to relocate to Florida to start fresh. I gave up drugs, smoking, and buckled down on finding a job. Well, I am out of money, pawned everything I could, am homeless, and work as a phone sex operator which I freaking HATE. I am completely hopeless at this point. I can't afford the co-pay for my meds and I am almost empty and I feel like I have no life in me left to continue. I tried everything to find work. Am about to sell my truck which I love just to get some money. ADDP won't help because they want 3 months worth of bank statements and they cost $15 per month and I don't have it.
I applied for Social Security 3 months ago and still haven't heard from them. I was denied 3 times before because I am too healthy. 17 yrs. and haven't been sick one time.
The only good thing of this is I met a guy who is negative and he knows I am poz and doesn't care. But he too is out of work. FLORIDA SUCKS. I HATE THIS. Actually, I love Florida and want to stay but I literally am abouit to be sleeping in my truck. Can anyone, ANYONE, help?

Dorjus. I'm not an LTS, but saw your post and replied. I edited this. Please consider bumping your thread in PW for additional support. Here you may get concrete ideas. I'm with Ray, hang on to the truck if you can. Tougher to work without wheels.Em

Hello,

Where exactly in Florida are you. You may get some responses if we know where you are. Perhaps those living in your general area, can get you directed to some services. Try to hang onto the truck !!

Dorjus:

Have you tried to contact the local ASO (Aids Service Organization)?  There surely must be one there.  Maybe they could help you out.   Hang in there!

Hey Dorjus,

I would contact your local ASO. The folks there may be able to help you.

Trying to do this all on your own is a troublesome tasik.

HUGS,
