Bi-polar +poz
« on: October 04, 2008, 05:09:00 pm »
HI, I have a quick question. Not only do I have HIV but was diagnosed with BI-polar when I was 20. Then recently got my HIV diagnosis. I was on meds for the bi-polar but was able to get off of them, but continue weekly therapy for it. my question is, having been on meds for that condition and being bi-polar, will that have any negative side effects with HIV meds? if so how severe? thanks and prayers to all. James

hey James  :),
I have been on bi-polar  meds for years !

i find them to be more untoloratable than HIV  meds !

I no longer take anything for bi-polar !

YOUR QUESTION : Will it effect your HIV MEDS , I really  doubt it , they

DO NOT  hang around in your blood for very long !

THE ONLY ISSUE IS WHEN YOU ARE IN DEEP DESPARE ! , YOU MUST

CONTINUE TO TAKE YOUR MEDS ,AND IGNORE THE BI-POLAR !

HIV meds take presedent over ALL  other  meds .

never miss a dose and you WILL be fine .

It is NOT hard to do .

wishing you the best ! you got many years of good living left !

                                                                                       karl
