Title: iPad, now with wings!
Post by: GSOgymrat on January 31, 2010, 04:44:41 pm
All the hoopla surrounding the new iPad got me thinking about technology, what we find useful and why. I’m not sure I see the need for a “tween” device such as the iPad, as it is too big to be carried around like a phone but doesn’t have the power of a laptop. However if you think of the iPad as a super-Kindle, an e-reader that can also play games and use the internet, then it seems more useful. The funny thing about technology is you often don’t know you need a device until you use it.

I wasn’t sure I needed a laptop computer but after taking the plunge I found I use it every day at work, school and at home. I use my Zune mp3 player all the time but the camcorder my partner bought sits in a box in a closet untouched. I thought I would find a smartphone useful but after having one for almost 2 years I rarely use it, even to make phone calls. My younger brother, on the other hand, practically runs his business on his iPhone.

Time will tell whether the iPad will be a must-have device or a dust collector. Personally I think if all textbooks came out as e-books iPads and other e-readers would sells like hotcakes.  I have no plans to buy an e-reader or iPad but how about you?

I am getting one, sure thing.  Been avoiding the temptation of buying a Kindle (I still prefer how real books feel).  Plus, I broke my MacBook last week and have been using a ::cough:: Windows Vista laptop (or just my iPhone) whenever I need to be mobile. Will probably get the version with higher capacity, but no 3G.  There is no need to pay yet another media access fee when so many places offer free Wi-Fi.

I've been using a netbook for a couple of years to read books by the pool and in the park. I've downloaded hundreds of books as txt files and hate being stuck to the desktop during the Summer months just to read a book. I tried using a palm and a smartphone; but their screens just weren't big enough. The netbook is a little too big; but I can check my email and surf from it too, so it has it's pluses. ;)

Not to mention ATT's shitty 3G Network which is already shaky will come crashing down once all the Ipad's hop on. ATT says they are working to improve the system in preparation for the Ipad, but it will not be enough.
With that being said I will probably get one (the base $499 model) with Wifi only. Why pay an additional $30/mo for shitty 3g when i can get Wifi just about anywhere now, McDonalds, Libraries, Parks, Airports, Aircraft (although airlines charge a nominal fee for Wifi).
I know it already does everything a Touch Ipod does, etc...but for me it would be nice to sit in bed and relax with it. I only have a desktop and my My Iphone is just to small....so yeah, its for me.

I am hooked on Apple-anything, but I must admit I absolutely love my Kindle.  In fact, I am on my second one...gave the original to my sister and bought the new one.  After some initial orientation, I am as absorbed in it as I ever was with a book.  I get the New York Times and Washington Post everyday on it, not to mention quite a few books.  It is a dream to travel with...and to use when eating alone in a restaurant.

Lusting after an iPad but honestly don't have a need for it given I already have an iPhone, several iPods, a MacBook, two iMacs, and of course the Kindle.

I also like to read when eating alone in restaurants and usually take magazines because, unlike a paperback, they lay flat and stay open. With a Kindle, or iPad, I assume it would be easier to eat and read a novel.

Yeah I had NO CLUE my testost. was low until she just randomly ran it. 3 mos ago it was 35ish I think, and yesterday it tested at 76. Still very low. So now I have to rub the gel on daily vs. every other day. In 3 mos if it isnt any better I'll have to do the injections every 2 weeks. But the good news is that it's not a "rest of your life" thing. She said normally the body will start producing it on its own after being on replacement therapy. Yay.

The iPad will have a market, but I can't believe Apple didn't add handwriting recognition, so the iPad could actually be used as a pad... by business people on the go and students, the keyboard accessory looks nice, but to lug that around you might as well take your Netbook, Notebook or MacBook.
The lack of flash is OK for the type of browsing I do on my iPhone... but I expect it for a device of the size of the iPad.

For me this first version is nothing more than a large iTouch...  (iTouch Pro maybe)

Flash sucks chunks and is a resource hog.  If your browser crashes ever it's because of flash embeds. Youtube is already transitioning to HTML5. I expect more of that in the next year.

Not natively... I've seen some 3rd party apps, but seeing them being used, makes thumbing faster and easier... maybe ok for some texting, but wouldn't try to take notes in a meeting with it.
I would have added a stylus cleverly concealed in the iPad (a la Nintendo DS)... and native handwriting/graffiti support sure.

Steve Jobs is a minimalist with his products and doesn't believe in "feature bloat".  The only thing I'm not keen on is the inability to multi-task, but I'm sure once the processor is strong enough to allow it that will be added in.

Other than that I never buy "revision a" for any consumer electronic product if I can help it.  I remember all too well buying the first iBook to have OS X on it, but I had no choice with the timing.

I'm gonna get it.  I don't need a laptop for what I mostly use it for (surfing the net).  Plus I could download my newspapers and read them on the device on the way to work.

They got the price point right.  A bit unusual for Apple.

The more I think about e-readers the more sense they make. You can get a book almost anywhere in 60 seconds, adjust the size of the font, automatically switch to audio, carry hundreds of books with you, reference material faster. I can't even imagine the trees that would be saved if people read newspapers, magazines and books on e-readers. Less paper that missed recycling would end up in landfills.

I'm not ready to shell out 500 bucks though, trees be damned. :-[

Yeah, from what I know they started working on it before the iPhone, but the technology wasn't ready for something the size of the iPad so what stuff worked they channeled into developing the iPhone first, then finishing the iPad.  I assume that this is also why Apple decided to acquire P.A. Semiconductor in 2008 and make their own chips for the iPad.

You can read more here (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/02/technology/business-computing/02chip.html).

Here is some competition coming out of India for the iPad. It is called ADAM and it is going to operate on Android OS. It has a new kind of color touchscreen with a backlight that can be turned off, yet you can still see the picture. On a single charge the device can operate for 16 hours with the backlight on and 160 hours with the backlight off. :o

Looks nice, and it has a couple of advantages over the iPad (USB ports, multi-tasking, camera).  Too bad they are waiting till Jun-Jul to release it; by then some of the market will be taken as those who want a better tablet will have spent their money on Apple's little gadget.  And we know that Apple and AT&T are going to saturate the media with advertisement for this product.

Yeah, funny how Apple is immune to the laws of foreign exchange.  I think the government called them out on it in terms of Itune pricing, but that's gone all quiet.  More important things to worry about, I suppose.

That Hitler bit shouldnt be funny but its freaking hilarious.  Also, the logic behind it would be that Apple is a German company and Hitler is outraged at the shame of this shoddy product.  "If I wanted an ebook reader I would buy a Kindle!" hehehehe.

You know IBM fully functioned in Nazi Germany, making a fake subsidiary to keep doing so. All the precision of the Holocaust was done with IBM counting machines.

I went to an Apple store yesterday and now I simply MUST buy the new 27" iMac.  My current iMac is approaching five years so it's kind of a mess.  I also just got a new 40" flat screen for a bargain, and there's no sales tax in Delaware where I bought it.  Wilmington is just a short 25 minute drive down I-95 from here.

I also now want a RokuHD so I can stream Netflix and Amazon HD movies!

Me too, but our iMAC Resolution now are based for graphic 32-bit Color (ARG8888) what ever that mean.

I saw somewhere that they are coming with 64 bit system which would be great for the next generation one.

I would hate to buy something that would be outdated soon after, and with these products things are changing so fast.

Boo, some iPhone did have a battery problem. Mine did and I was told by my wireless provider to reset the phone completely with iTune and I never had this problem again. Make sure you backup. It should automatically.

I just love my iPhone, especially being deaf, I have voicemail with SpinVox technology, that translate your spoken words into a text one for me to read. And all this in 4 minutes or so.

Since emails are not always in real time, this is quite useful for me.

This should keep you up-to-date with possible refresh issues:

Frankly there have been so many "flickering" issues with the 27" displays because they're so new that I'm fine to wait three months before I buy one.  By that time they should have had it sorted out.

My brother recently got an iPhone and he says he has surrendered his life to it. It tell him when to wake up, when to work, how to exercise, what food to eat, where to get the food, how to prepare the food, what news to read, what movies to watch, it hooks him up with dates, it babysits his child...

My phone, um, makes phone calls. :(

I find the iPhone cumbersome to use.  I'm considering either a Samsung Moment (http://now.sprint.com/bestphones/index.php?pid=4&id9=SEM_Google_C_Sprint_Samsung) or HTC Hero (http://www.htc.com/www/product/hero/overview.html) with Sprint, plus Sprint's data service package is about $30 less a month than AT&T (which drops calls all of the time anyway, at least in the northeast corridor).

The camera (5 megapixel) is better on the Hero than the Moment (3.2) but I like the slide out keyboard on the Moment -- both are Android OS so that's a ++ for me.  Plus I've been a Sprint customer for six years so I have a very high upgrade budget from them and can get a $500 phone for $99... can't really beat that.

I AM NOT A TOTAL APPLE FAN BOY!

I was impressed by the Netflix announcement too, also that Hulu will have an app. I was very pleased to hear Amazon and Barnes & Noble will both have apps for iPad, so you don't have to buy books only from Apple.

I've been following the iPad on Engadget and I'm seriously considering buying one when the 3G version comes out later this month. I'm particularly interested in eReader features.

Well I got an iPad yesterday and I'm liking it a lot! The NetFlix app is great. The things that some are saying about the iPad are not a problem for me. Really the iPad's competition is not a net book, laptop or smartphone. The competition is the Kindle, Nook and Sony's e reader, and it is a compelling alternative to those devices. I'm am a bit of a Apple fan boy but if one needs to have more than one app open, needs to have lots of extra things plugged in, then an iPad doesn't meet your needs and you shouldn't get one. That doesn't make it a bad device.  For me it's easier to watch video's on the iPad than on my Macbook and reading things on my iPhone isn't so great. We'll see how much I use it. I think it's going to be quite a lot.

So now HP releases a little more info about its iPad wannabe, the Slate.  Must say that they make it look pretty decent (camera, USB, memory card slot, etc.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeDalRBjyJo

HP preps its would-be iPad killer, the Slate (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ytech_gadg/20100406/tc_ytech_gadg/ytech_gadg_tc1480)

Quote

Remember the HP Slate, the upcoming Windows 7-powered tablet that we first saw during Microsoft's CES keynote back in January? Well, we just got more details on HP's would-be iPad killer, thanks to a new, official teaser video and Engadget's decidedly unofficial series of leaked specs.

The last time we saw the Slate was in the hands of Steve Ballmer during a rather tepid presentation in Las Vegas, with Ballmer showing off the Kindle reader and struggling a bit as he tried to tee up a video. But HP has clearly stepped up its game, starting with this snazzy 30-second teaser video that makes a point of showing off all the features on the Slate that are missing on the iPad, such as a built-in camera, a USB port (a real one, not an adapter), and an SD card slot.

Just a few hours after the video was posted, Engadget managed to snag what appears to be an HP marketing sheet — titled, none too subtly, "HP Slate vs. iPad" — that specifically stacks up the Slate to the iPad, point for point. Now, before we dive into the details here, let's just point out that HP has yet to officially cough up detailed specs for the Slate, much less a price tag or a release date (other than "this year," that is). Still, if what we're looking at here is real, it's a pretty clear indication that HP is positioning the Slate as an iPad killer.

Looking at the (purported) spec sheet, the Slate appears to have a series of enticing features that are missing on the iPad. There's the camera, of course, and we're not just talking one but two: a 3MP lens in back and a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing. We've also got a single USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, a "conventional" SIM tray for 3G networking, and HDMI-out video capabilities (not to mention 1080p playback) via the Slate's dock connector. (Each of these key points are highlighted on the leaked marketing sheet as an "HP advantage," by the way.)

Pretty interesting, and here's a few more details to boot (again, not official): an 8.9-inch, 1024-by-600-pixel display (slightly smaller and lower-res than the iPad), a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor under the hood, and 32 or 64GB of built-in flash storage (expandable via the SD card slot). The spec sheet doesn't mention Flash support specifically, but HP has already made it pretty clear that yes, you will be able to view Flash videos on the Slate.

The leaked spec sheet describes the Slate as measuring 9.2 by 5.7 by 0.57 inches, making the Slate (potentially) a tad taller, narrower, and thicker than the iPad (9.56 by 7.47 by 0.5 inches), as well as a tiny bit lighter (1.49 pounds, vs. 1.5 pounds for the iPad).

The leaked marketing sheet also ticks off a few specs labeled as "HP threat" — in other words, areas in which the iPad would have a leg up over the Slate, at least for now. Among them: no support for 802.11n, the latest official Wi-Fi standard; just five hours of battery life, versus 10 hours for the iPad; and a slightly more expensive price tag for the 16GB model ($549, versus $499 for the 16GB iPad) — although, to be fair (and if the leaked specs are true), the $549 16GB Slate might come with a SIM tray, whereas the equivalent 3G-enabled iPad will set you back $629.

Of course, one of the biggest selling points for the Slate (and yes, this we know for certain) is Windows 7, a full-on, multitasking, desktop-caliber operating system. The iPad runs on a modified version of the iPhone OS, and among other things lacks third-party-app multitasking (although that may be changing soon). Then again, the iPad OS is specifically designed for touch and runs lightning-fast; Windows 7 is designed for a keyboard and mouse (HP is promising a "touch-optimized UI" to help with fingertip navigation). And it remains to be seen whether Slate's 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor will be up to the task of making Windows 7 run smoothly on a 1.5-pound tablet.

Let's just say one more time that the leaked marketing sheet obtained by Engadget isn't official; and even if it is real, the listed specs are certainly subject to change; and again, we still don't have an official price tag.

Still, if the Slate proves anything, it's that the tablet wars won't end with the iPad; indeed, they're only beginning. If the iPad turns out to be a hit (and the jury's still out), it'll spur more competition in the tablet "space" ("Courier," anyone?), and that's a good thing.

After getting a cash bonus for 15 years at my job I decided to do something crazy and indulgent and bought a iPad. This is my first Apple product and it took some time to download iTunes and transfer music and photos. So far it is exceeding my expectations, in fact so I think it is going to almost replace my laptop. It is very convenient for browsing the net and viewing pictures and movies. I love reading books and news... comics are particularly awesome. The keyboard is much more functional than I thought it would be and the battery really does appear to last 10 hours. So far the only negatives are 1) it is rather heavy to hold in one hand while reading, and 2) removing fingerprints is a pain.

My partner, who is so newbie he just got his first email address last week, was so impressed by how handy and easy to use this iPad is he is going to buy mine and I am going to get a 3G model when they come out.

The new IPhone OS4 just came out on the 8th, and as the iPad runs on the same OS you will be able to multitask by next Fall.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/08/iphone-os-4-not-coming-to-the-ipad-until-the-fall/

Along with iChat front facing camera

You should have your BF wait until then -- better yet, give him your current one and buy the next revision for yourself, which is what I'm going to do. :)

So you got one?  I was in Best Buy yesterday and so I fiddled around with one for 15 minutes or so.  I *really* want one but won't get it until they have Rev. B models with web cams for Skyping.

Oh, sorry I somehow missed this post Ford.  Well, good for you -- I really want one, even the current model.  I'm just making my excuse to wait because I also need to replace my 5 year old iMac so that really should come first.  My thinking is after that I'll get an iPad and they should have web cams by next year.  I also think that instead of a cell phone with a data plan I'll just get the most el-cheapo phone possible, maybe even one without a monthly plan that you pay by the minute.  I've gotten so I don't ever use my monthly allotment as it is, and if I have Skype on the iPad I'd rather use that.

decisions, decisions!

Oh, and having been an Apple-holic since forever, can you believe that I've never owned an iPod?

Never had an iPod either. And totally mac here. Nor do i have an iPhone.
I just bought a flac player. Since I legally rip off (aware of the oxymoron but thats the situation in Switzerland) all my music as FLAC.

I heard you can flash your Ipod or Iphone somehow to make wifi calls on a ghost platform.

When that all gets sorted out I'd love to get one.  Otherwise currently you pay a premium for IPhone service and I'm not into mobile aps, at all.

It's amazing that this is selling at more than twice the rate of the iPhone, though of course the verdict is out on how long it will chug along at this rate.  Not to mention that it just entered markets overseas, and IIRC the iPhone took longer to sold outside of the US.

source (http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/05/31/apple-sells-2-million-ipads-since-april-launch/?hp)

Quote
Apple announced Monday that it had reached a new milestone with its iPad, selling two million devices in less than 60 days.

The latest announcement shows that Apple is selling one million iPads a month, an average of nearly 35,000 a day. The iPhone, which went on sale in mid-2007, took 74 days to reach one million sales.

They are selling like hotcakes. Two people at work, plus my partner, have bought iPads after playing with mine so Apple needs to send me a commission check. :)

My partner, the flight attendant, has been taking his iPad on trips an really loves it. He is all about free stuff and has been downloading free novels and reading them on his trips. Today he is in India and we talked for an hour (again, free!). This is kind of a big deal for us because up until now we didn't communicate at all when he was on trips, which last several days. Now that he has the iPad I am getting regular emails and we are talking with Skype. Of course you don't need an iPad to do these things but what is different is the iPad is small enough for him to carry, simple enough for him to operate, and has a screen large enough to see without his reading glasses.

I actually fell for the bad rap it was getting in the tech focused media, but honestly after having seen one in action...I would love one for my birthday or christmas although I don't know if I would go out and buy it for myself just yet.  Isn't there a next gen one planned to come out that does something else?

As a decades old Mac user it's my opinion that one should never purchase until the "Revision B" unit comes out.  If you followed tech columns you will have heard about the next generation iPhone that turned up in the wild by accident, and seeing as how the iPad and iPhone share operating systems it's likely that the next version will have either a camera or web cam that will enable video Skype abilities.  For this reason (aside from the fact that my computer died last month and I had to scrape money up for a new one) I won't get an iPad until the next version.  And this isn't speculation -- hidden in the current software development kit is an interface for a camera :) plus I'm sure once done there will be a more Steve Job-ish Skype-like application built in.  Also, there will be multitasking when the 4.0 version of the OS comes out.

I went to buy my 3G one this weekend (got a good amount of apple gift cards from my co-workers as I left to my new job/position --giving my wi-fi based to one of my siblings), but both Miami stores were completely sold out.  I guess I'll just wait until the next update comes out. I don't particularly care for the video cam (never use it on my iMac or MacBook), but I'm sure that there will be some other enhancements matching the upgrades that the iPhone is getting.

I do find it pretty amazing that people are buying this gadget at this pace (faster than the iPhone?).  Aren't we supposed to be still going through financial hard times?

So now they're available in switzerland and suddenly many students have them. I asked them why and they said, just for fun. Or, its smaller than my laptop.

Funny how Apple has become the greatest success selling ipods, iphones and now this.  Expensive glamour gadgets.

I'm surprised how small it is. Smaller than I'd like it to be, actually.

I love my mac computers, always have.

Still dont have an ipod, iphone or ipad.  Never bought a tune on itunes.

I got my first smartphone recently: an EVO 4G through Sprint. I didn't really want a new phone but I accidentally dropped my old phone in the toilet and killed it. The main reason I chose the EVO is because it has a 4G wifi hotspot so I can access the internet with my iPad (I was shocked to discover Greensboro has 4G service). It is amazing all the stuff this thing can do: it's a GPS, a 8 megapixil camera, a hi-def camcorder, a MP3 player, a FM radio, you can watch TV show and movies... these smartphones are pretty amazing. My partner wasn't impressed until I showed him how it can scan a bar code of a product in a store and tell you competing prices around town and on the web-- then he went into bargain hunter nirvana. My favorite feature is the GPS because when I go running or hiking it tells me how far I have gone, how fast, the elevation and, most importantly, how to return to the car. I know that all this stuff is nothing new to those of your who have iPhones, Droids and such but even texting is new to me.

Ah so you go the mobile hot spot add on, Ford?  With the required phone service for that I think the monthly total is $110 (plus taxes) so you better both be scanning a lot of bar codes to see any bargain.

Also, should I assume you also checked out the Samsung Epic 4G which comes out in nine days at Sprint?

You are right about the cost, it does come out to be about $110. With my previous arrangement through Verizon I was paying $40 for a phone without data and $60 for a wireless USB 3G modem which didn't work with the iPad. So for $10 more I get unlimited 4G on my phone and iPad and I don't have to carry a modem. I'm so good at rationalizing spending money!

I didn't consider the Samsung because I didn't want to go without a phone that long. I had to wait a week to get the EVO.

I hate technology but my partner loves it and makes me learn it...
He bought the i-pad and loves it! I have used it and love it also as it came with 652 books installed. We can use the i-pad anywhere and it frees us from the office.
Imagine having your office with you every where you go, if you choose to use it....
In the past few months I have been forced into using an i-phone and a mac computer and now the i-pad...
Fighting technology is a loosing battle, just embrace it.

Ipad 2 specs and video demo now up on http://www.apple.com/

Here's an executive summary of Wednesday's Apple press conference:

• The iPad 2, available in the US from 11 March and in Europe from 25 March, is 33% thinner and 0.2 pounds lighter than its months-old predecessor. It has front and rear-facing cameras, comes in both white and black, and will cost the same as the first-generation iPad. It uses a dual-core processor, which makes it faster than the original iPad, and has the same 10-hour battery life.

• Steve Jobs, Apple's indefatigable chief executive currently on a medical leave of absence, took to the stage, shocking a usually unshockable technology world to its core.

• A new version of Apple's operating system, iOS 4.3, will be released for the iPhone, iPad and fourth-generation iPod Touch, later this month. It will include improved Safari browser performance, improvements for AirPlay and new iMovie and Garageband apps for the iPad.

• Random House is newly signed-up to Apple's iBooks store, bringing 17,000 ebooks with it.

Very nice! I like they made it thinner and lighter. My iPad can get heavy holding it in one hand to read. The front facing camera is a necessary addition and the HD camera is cool but I wonder if it would be awkward recording with such a large device. Including iMovie software makes a lot of sense. My partner and I might sell his iPad and get the newer version for him so we can video chat when he is on trips. He has never been into computers at all but uses the iPad ALL the time.

Ok I just didn't know what the original price was.  Wasn't there like a suped up model for 899?

Their product line always has upper options (increased storage, etc.).  So with the iPad there's the basic WiFi-only model and then the WiFi+3G model.  Each of these models then have 3 GB storage options, 16, 32 and 64.

The cheapest option then is WiFi only with 16 GB of storage for $499; the most expensive is the WiFi+3G with 64GB of storage for $829 (plus extra monthly for the 3G service from either at&t or Verizon)

So I am a bit embarrassed to admit this publicly but I stood in line for 2 hours yesterday and got the new iPad. I wasn't planning on getting one but my younger brother said he was hoping to get my old one for his 6 year old son. There are a lot of children's books and apps apparently.

So I lined up with about 100 other people at Best Buy. I figured buying it at Best Buy I would at least get reward points. I had never stood in line for a product before and it wasn't the geek fest I was anticipating, mainly just average men and women across the age spectrum. A sales associate came down the line asking which model we each wanted and handing out cards so people would not be waiting for a model that was sold out, which I thought was considerate. I got the white, wifi 64 GB model which the sales associate said was the least popular. People wanted the 16 GB. I got the green cover.

On the way home I drove past the Apple Store and there was a HUGE line down the sidewalk of people still waiting to get in.

The new model is appreciably thinner and a little lighter and is more comfortable to hold in your hand. I have noticed that it is significantly faster, especially when opening programs and typing. With my old iPad if I typed very quickly there was a bit of a lag. The new magnetic smart covers are very handy. I thought i would like the leather covers but the neoprene have a more pleasing feel and i like the brighter colors. I haven't had time to play with the cameras yet.

I am looking forward to seeing my nephew's face when his dad hands him the iPad.

Prices differ depending on the amount of memory and whether you want I wifi only or need 3G. The 3G requires a monthly contract with either AT&T or Verizon. They have a black and white models, which is the same price.

WiFi version: 16GB ($500), 32GB ($600), and 64GB ($700)
3G version: 16GB ($630), 32GB ($730), and 64GB ($830)

Almost any file formats-- photo, video, music, document-- will work on iPad. You transfer files through a USB, which is included, using iTunes on your PC. It is fairly intuitive.

Well originally they offered the ipad 3G with unlimited data AT&T service for $25. That "unlimited" didn't last long.
BTW, HP has a new line of "AirPrint" printers that you can print to from smart phones and ipads. The printer actually has an email address so anyone with your printers email address can send print to your printer. Naturally I had to try the HP Envy 100 D410a. Why I will never know. I rarely print, especially from my phone or pad. And all I need is some creep writing my printers email address on some restroom wall.

My best friend, who lives in Los Angeles, sent me this story with the comment "I continue to be mortified by where you choose to live."

'White Ninja' Steals Car, Smashes Into Greensboro Apple Store

http://www.macrumors.com/2011/06/03/white-ninja-steals-car-smashes-into-greensboro-apple-store/

Neat tricks! I was even more impressed with the monochromic decor of his apartment. Love it!

Check out the new preview of Windows 8 (watch the video). I love the style and think the interface would be practical. They are obviously focusing on tablets and touch screens.
