Hi Jerry,

Nice website. As a local, it will be useful to me even after the AMG. (My friends in San Francisco think of Oakland as Siberia, but I do consider myself a local.)

I notice that the "Editor's Pick" is the exhibit of carnivorous plants at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. I saw this exhibit, and it really is fascinating. The Conservatory of Flowers is just a few minutes walk from the AIDS Memorial Grove. Admission is $5.

I read about the Conservatory of Flowers a few weeks ago, and wondered if anyone else was interested.  I want to go!

Don't know duration of the AIDS Memorial gathering but was planning on seeing the display of the conservatory of flowers too, since it's nearby. Then, I'll be off to Mission district to find the wonderful mom and pop Mexican restaurant that Michael (Sonamabeach) spoke of. .......then it's Mitchells ice cream time! Should be nice and round like my little piglet, Georgie, by the time I leave Mitchells.  I'd love some company if anyone is interested. I somehow have to find energy to tour the San Francisco Bridge on Friday. It's a formidable piece of engineering and I want to be walking on it.
