wonder,

Getting a blowjob - no matter what sort of spin you want to put on it INCLUDING the amount of time - is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one single person has ever become infected this way and you certainly won't be the first.

hello again everyone...

once again, i'll be askin for your help...

something related to MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM...

i only have one, and its beside my eyelid.. it's been there for months now, so i decided to google it...

and then i was alarmed and scared once again, the HIV issues popped again! one site even said that its one of the first signs of infection...

now, if only you'll see me, im slowly becoming depressed once again... why does it have to be HIV-related? from all the stuff i learned on this forum, i had always been obedient of safe sex lessons. i don't even have sex that much, and i make sure i bring a condom everytime i'm on to it..

just had an hiv-antibody test last may,,, it came non-reactive... and now im planning for another, 3 months from now, to rule out if my ONE Molluscum Contagiosum is something i should worry about again,,,

is this useless worrying?

Replies from you are always heartfully appreciated.

God bless you all, always...

Wonder,

It is most certainly useless wondering on your part. Molluscum contagiosum is not restricted to HIV positive people and cannot be considered an indicator of infection with anything but the pox virus that causes it.

Unless you've engaged in unprotected anal and/or vaginal intercourse or if you've been sharing needles and syringes then you don't need to be tested for HIV again.

Indeed unless a doctor has diagnosed the lesion near your eye as a mollusca then you can't say for sure that you have that condition. You should consult with your doctor and have it treated if necessary.

thanks a lot matty...

other websites say that this also happens when one has an impaired immune system. does this mean that i have to wait for 6 months to get antibody testings in the future?

plus, this one molluscum contagiosum happened to be in my face, beside the eye particularly... i googled this and it says that this occurs on people with HIV, but in numerous amounts (more than 20), and is intense.

i only have one, but it bothered me so much since yesterday when i googled it...

Wonder,

Let's step through this one more time.

If you'd read the Welcome Thread as you've been asked to previously you'd know that you cannot contract HIV from getting a blowjob. Ann, Roddles and our other experts have told you this on numerous occasions.

The testing window period is 13 weeks NOT 6 months but it doesn't matter in your case because you didn't have a risk to begin with.

Molluscum contagiosum affects people with HIV and people who don't have HIV. You don't have HIV but you can still get a molluscum. If the lesion on your eye is worrying you see a doctor, have it properly diagnosed and treated if necessary.

As for other websites, well we have no control over what they say. You'll read lots of things on the internet, but when it comes to HIV/AIDS this website (AIDSmeds) is the only place to go. Our advice is 100% rock solid reliable and our reputation as the leading HIV/AIDS website is well deserved.

If we thought you were at risk we'd tell you.

wonder,

No, it is NOT hiv related. You don't even know if it actually IS molluscum anyway. I once thought I had a patch of molluscum (after looking at photos on the internet as you no doubt have done), but the doctor took one look and said "NO". It turned out to be something else I can't remember the name of and it went away on its own.

See your doctor about this thing on your skin. Don't self-diagnose, it's bad for your health.

feeling kind of worried again...

yesterday i was on the laboratory for our pre-employment check-up... the med-tech gave me a container to put my urine sample. however she was also doing venipuncture on the patients... the lid on it i think has some blood in it, cause there was a red streak. what  worried me is that i have a wound (which was a cut from an accidentally broken glass a day before and is starting to heal and i didn't put bandage on it)... what if my wound came in contact with the blood on the lid? im scared once again..

Wonder,

You've been coming here for eight months now and it would seem you have learned nothing. Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that does not remain able to infect when it is outside the host. Hiv transmission occurs INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Using condoms prevents transmission.

Your extreme hiv anxieties are outside the scope of this website. Please seek counseling to learn how to deal with your anxieties. We cannot help you with that here.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse and you will avoid hiv infection. It REALLY is that simple!

quite worried...
« Reply #61 on: May 26, 2008, 01:39:15 pm »
good day guys... i missed u guys, andy, rapid, mtd & ann! hope u all, and the rest are doin great!

i had an encounter last saturday with a gay male. it was my first time in months, and i was quite lonely then so i decided to hook up with him. he did oral on me, and then we had anal, and i was the one on top. of course, i asked if there's a condom available. yes there was but no water-based lube. we decided to use a hand lotion instead. i was worried if this is ok since i know that water-based lubes are the best.. was it ok?

then i pulled it out and he performed oral on me again till i came. i had a nice feeling then because i knew i made someone happy for a night!

however, while we were talking post-encounter, we talked about his work. i looked on his ID and said that he had fever when the pic was taken last March 21 2008. he also mentioned that during that time, his fever lasted for one month, with diarrhea and all. he said he had sex with several men before that. i was quite worried because he mentioned his fever lasted for a month!

he said he got tested at a first-class hospital here, and they said he's negative. but that was just 2 months ago, i did not ask when he took that test to avoid further anxiety to us both.

i am quite worried for his one-month fever. good thing though i wore a condom... its just that i don't wanna go through the "what if?" stage again.. help guys... tnx!

Hi,

I've merged your latest thread with your old one. Please keep all of your entries in this same thread.

Whatever your most recent partner told you is irrelevant about HIV status. That kind of conversation is never something to rely upon. YOU are responsible for protecting your own health. The important thing is that you wore a condom when you had intercourse with him. Also, apparently the hand lotion did not damage the condom. You need to remember to only use water-based lube in the future as anything else could result in the condom breaking down.

His giving you oral was not a risk for transmisson. So I don't see any reason to be concerned about HIV transmission in relation to this latest incident. You've been around here enough in the past to know the basics about transmission. So let's not as you say, get into another round of "what ifs" when there is no cause for concern.

Wonder,

His fever has nothing to do with the fact that you weren't at risk for hiv transmission during your encounter with him.

nervous after oral
« Reply #67 on: June 21, 2009, 12:26:20 pm »
hello people.. hope everyone's fine.

im feeling a little nervous after having sex with a stranger. he did oral on me while he was masturbating himself. he came, and he jerked mine with his hands (and i think it has semen) and touched the head of my penis. then he did oral on me again. but i think his mouth is not wet enough with saliva. is this risky? i am frightened on what if his sperm entered my urethra..

please help me again. i have always been thankful to u guys for all the enlightenment on us, the flipped-outs. and here i am to thank you again for your helpful reply.

If we were so helpful to you and you were really taking in what was said to you, then you ought to realize there was no risk whatsoever for transmission in your latest situation. Once again, his semen getting on to the head of your penis is not a risk. Period.

Listen up! Sexually in sex between men, the risk for HIV transmission is from unprotected anal intercourse. Everything else is strictly theoretical as far as risk.

It's time you learned to apply what has been said to you in the past to ongoing experiences. We're not here to hold your hand and repeat the same things everytime you have sex and start getting nervous again.

Even if you hadn't washed and peed immediately afterwards it STILL wouldn't have been a risk.

Getting semen on the head of your penis is very different from the risk situation which occurs when a penis is inside another guy's butt without a condom on.
