Reason to worry? I had protected vaginal sex with a sex worker. The condom did not fail/break. Afterwards I noticed a small amount of blood on the condom. On day 13 afterwards I noticed a tender nodule/lymph node under my left arm. Now present for 4 days but getting smaller. Also a headache for a couple of days, now resolved. No other symptoms. Is it possible for ARS?

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.

No, those are not symptoms of ARS. You used a condom for intercourse which is exactly what you are supposed to do. They provide very effective protection whether you are with a professional or a civilian.
Leave your lymph nodes alone. By touching/squeezing them you can create a problem as they are very sensitive to the touch. Discuss your symptoms with your doctor if they persist. They have nothing to do with HIV.
This is not an HIV situation. Period.

Question? In Dec 2008 I had vaginal sex with a sex worker. Unfortunately the condom broke. I started PEP within 12 hours. Before completion of PEP I had unprotected vaginal intercourse with my significant other. I did not ejaculated in her. A few weeks later she had a sore throat/fever & was diagnosed with strep. Since then we have engaged in unprotected vaginal intercourse on multiple occasions. I don't believe she has been tested for HIV since we first got together in 2005. I last tested neg in July of 2010. Is there need for concern?

Your risk for HIV from that broken condom incident was low. But you ought to have gotten tested at 3 months after completing PEP. And you and your significant other ought to have followed a basic rule about unprotected sex: use condoms until both partners committed to a reliably monogamous relationship have reliably tested negative together. In all likelihood from what you have written you will both test negative. However, HIV status is not something to guess about. I recommend that you both get tested and elimininate any doubts.

Is it possible to transmitted HIV while on PEP & the PEP eliminates the virus from the person system who is on it? The question relates to the above mentioned Dec 2008 incident.

Let's keep this simple. Your risk was very low. Taking PEP would make the risk of being HIV positive and transmitting the virus even lower.
You ought to test just to confirm that you are HIV negative. Based on what you have reported I do expect you will test negative.

You have tested conclusively hiv negative after the completion of PEP. You could not have infected your partner while on PEP. You do not have hiv and you could not have passed on something you do not have. You were highly unlikely to have been infected as the insertive partner during a condom break anyway.
You do NOT have hiv!
