worried hypocondriac

Hey guys,

8 weeks ago I had unprotected oral from a girl I don't know a lot about.  Also I tried to have intercourse with her but was unable to put condom on because of lack of erection.  I think we just had frottage and I noticed the condom slipped off.  The girl said I never inserted.  I had a urine  std test 2 weeks after event and both the girl and I had a negative rapid finger hiv test 4 weeks after event.  The nurse that did the test said I didn't need to re-test.  just after the test I got strep throat which worried me.  Do I need to test again?

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.

Thanks  I guess I'm just worried that perhaps I might have dipped for a second.  Yet I'm not sure it's possible while being limp and not using your fingers to insert.  So I should feel comfortable with both of our negative results?  I know the guidlines say 12 weeks but considering we were both negative at 4 weeks would you say I'm in the clear?

worried,

As you were told, you didn't have a risk. A limp dick isn't going to insert itself anywhere. You don't need further testing. And getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection, whether a condom was used for the blowjob or not. You had no risk.

Thanks but I wasn't completely limp.  But limp enough that I wasn't able to put the condom.  I'm thinking of doing a 9 week test for anixety.  So if hopefully that is negative I would be able to move on.

You'd very likely get a positive on a test for anxiety. Yes, definitely.

But you aren't reporting anything that put you at risk for HIV transmission so you can save your money on that one.

Give it up and get on with your life is my suggestion. If you're going to spend money on anything, make it a therapist or other professional with whom you can discuss your fears. That is something we can't address with you in this setting.

Thanks would having swine flu effect a rapid finger hiv test and give a false positive?

No, swine flu would not give you a false result on your test.
