Three years and still living
« on: January 07, 2008, 09:49:57 pm »
Well this week will be my third year living with HIV.

It has been a long and hard battle. Numbers have went from CD4 count of 1 to where they are today at 290.

After three years and taking pills day in and day out with the same pill box, I treated myself today and bought me a new pill box. Guess this is what I will plan on getting myself every three years for living with this virus.

I can say I feel better today than I felt three years ago. At least my health is good and im not dead yet. :-*

Congrats Jerry, you've come a long, long way since that count of 1 (and decidedly you've been living with HIV longer than 3 years considering that, unknowingly of course).  I've seen what a difficult journey it is for you, but now that you are firmly out of the scarier numerical zone I hope you can sit back and enjoy your future achievements in the years to come.

Hi Jerry~

I was happy to see this post.  I know you've had a very rough go of things over the past few months with health/doctors and family.

I had my 14th not too long ago.  Keep counting, you'll be here with us for a good long while, sweetie.

Hey Jerry,

As Alan said, celebrate those milestones! A purple pill box eh? My favorite color.

July will be No. 23 for me. I want king crab legs, but I'll settle for anything I don't have to cook myself but doesn't violate my weird diet.

Congratulation Jerry,

Glad that you are still alive after three years, and hopefully many more years to come. I myself just bought myself a

new pill box this year, after 5 years of from my diagnosis. Of course I needed a new pill box to fit the extra pill my

Doctor now has me on. So I have gone from 3 pills a day to 5 pills a day, but the same HIV cocktail, just added one

pill for high cholesterol, and one Vitamin B12 pill.

Well Jerry take care of yourself
