Threesome...did I play it safe
« on: September 17, 2006, 01:28:38 pm »
Hi, I have posted before on this site and the people here have been very helpful in easing my fears...Last night I received oral sex from a girl of unknown status..I know oral sex has never been a documented case for transmission but the oral sex I received was very rough..I woke up this morning with cuts and scabs on my penis..one cut was still very visible and still tender, therefore I know it was there last night during the blowjob and I know the wound was open and fresh and probably bleeding a little...does this mean I have to worry or can I put my mind at ease and throw it in with all the other cases of no risk..thank you to all those that answer for your time and hearing from the pros, IE Ann or Andy would truly put my mind at ease..thank you again

sabato,

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, no matter what sort of spin you want to put on it. Saliva is NOT infectious.

You did NOT have a risk.

You don't have to be concerned about this incident in terms of HIV.

Even IF the woman is HIV+, and please note that word "if," your saliva has an inhibitory element which would neutralize HIV.

Stop and think for a moment. Kissing is one of the most common of activities. Whether from bleeding gums, rough kissing such as you have described, sores, cuts and any other details you can come up with, we would have known long before today if there was any risk via kissing. Uncounted trillions of kisses later, there's never been a documented case of transmission in this manner. You won't make history by becoming the first.

As with so many sexual situations, "theoretically" there could be a risk. But in the real world of HIV, transmission just doesn't happen in this manner.

Cheers,

Andy Velez

Hi all...just a quick question..had a threesome with 2 girls last night...condom was worn during all times..my question is, should I have changed condoms each time I went from one girl to the other..the condom never broke and did stay intact the whole time, actually, I changed condoms 4 times as the threesome lasted long but there were times where I went from one girl to the other and back with the same condom..just wondering if I need not worry at all..hearing from Andy, Ann or Rapidrod would be greatly appreciated!

sabato,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

Yes, you should have used a new condom for each new person. This isn't to do with your risk, it's to do with transfering other sexually transmitted infections from one woman to the other.

Read through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you know how to use them correctly.

You did not have a risk for hiv infection in your threesome.

thanx for the quick reply Ann and thanx for showing me how to put new threads in my original thread..next time I will do it that way....

I did ask the women if they wanted me to put a new condom each time and they were ok with me using the same one...That was the first thought that popped into my mind...but like I said, they were totally fine with it...

Did you explain that it was a lancet or did you tell her you were poked by a syringe? You don't get infected by a lancet.

A lancet is a small metal piece pointed at one end. A syringe has a hypodermic needle attached which is hollow core and can collect blood in the tube of the needle.

Then do what you need to do. I'm just saying you don't need to test over that little stick. You don't get infected off environmental surfaces. That is all a lancet is.

You dont need to go.  So quit asking.  If you believe the nurses then go.  Its that simple.

Sabato,

It isn't a risk because the blood would have been exposed to the environment - if there was even any blood on it to begin with. Also, a little prick would not have brought the lancet into contact the correct type of cells that hiv needs to infect. These are not found in the skin.

As Rodney says, this is similar to an environmental surface and poses no risk.

NO RISK

Just curious here....performed oral sex on a woman lat night and later realized that her menstrual period had just started or was strating today....didnt taste any blood but while having intercourse, there was alittle on the condom..she was not aware nor was ...so, basically, is the oral sex act I performed a cause for worries..like I stated, didnt taste any blood but I assume there was a little..would I become infected through performing oral on a woman in this case

No guy has ever been confirmed to have become infected through receiving a blowjob. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first.

And I'm talking trillions of them later that included bites, nicks, sores and whatever. Zero risk. Period. End of story.

There's no cause for concern nor for testing over getting some head.

Cheers.

OK. The condom protected you until the brief period during which you stayed inside until you realized it had broken. As the insertive partner your risk is significantly lower than it is for a receptive partner.

Given that it was a single and brief incident the likelihood of transmission is very low, even IF the person you were with is even HIV+.

Get tested at 13 weeks for a conclusive result. If you find it too stressful to wait that long, then get tested at 6 weeks for an initial result. The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. All but the smallest number of those who are going to seroconvert will do so within 4-6 weeks after a risk. So a negative result at 6 weeks means that you will almost certainly continue to test negative at 13 weeks.

In the meantime get productively busy with other things in your life as it will help to pass the waiting time much more easily.

Cheers.

Condom broke, should I worry
« Reply #44 on: April 27, 2012, 09:53:35 am »
Hello to all..I had an incident last night where the condom broke...totally unaware of the person i was with status, I was wondering if I was at risk. The moment I inserted inside, she felt it break right away and ask me to pull out and put a new one. So it was basically one or 2 thrusts maximum and that was it. Now should I go get tested. What if I had tiny tears on the foreskin of my penis, would that be cause for concern...thank you

This really isn't a risk for HIV transmission. If you doubt me in this, get tested 13 weeks from now.

But I'm confident you'll test negative for HIV.

I'm not going to go through the palaver of telling you how HIV is or is not transmitted, nor will I direct your attention to the Welcome Thread.

I assume you're familiar with those things.
