Title: Late HIV? Hopeless..
Post by: Stob01 on June 03, 2010, 02:48:39 pm
Hello, i am man and hopelles at the moment.. I have problems with my health and i suppose i could be caused by HIV.

My risks:
8 years ago i had sex with female sex worker, protected vaginal, but also oral sex (i was active).
7 years ago sex with other SW, protected, but fingering vagina with relatively fresh cut on finger.

I have never had unprotected vaginal sex.

But now i have several health problems which appeared almost at the same time.

- fungal under my toes
- poor healing pimples on legs and back (they don't heal completely)
- blemishes on tongue
- chronicaly blocked nose
- occasional problems with breathing

I have been to many doctors, but they didn't find anything. I know that my risks weren't too high, but i don't have other explanations for my problems? What do yout think?
Thank you for help.

HIV is not your problem, you need to keep seeking Medical advise for your spots, fungal toes and nasal problems, none of which is related to HIV.

Whatever is going on with your health it is not definitely is not HIV, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full STD check up at least once a year.

Use condoms for anal/vaginal sex at all times...NO EXCEPTIONS..and please read our welcome thread and follow the lessons on how HIV is and is not transmitted.

As Jan has so accurately already told you, whatever is going on with you has nothing to do with HIV. Based on what you have reported nothing put you at risk for the virus.

You need to discuss your symptoms and your health concerns with your doctor. They have absolutely nothing to do with HIV.

Thanks for your replies. I know that my risk is theroretical, but i don't understand how it's possible to have so many different health problems at one moment. I have to find out. Thank you.

As you did not have a risk for HIV infection, I certainly hope you meet with a physician and find out the real source of your issues, and get appropriate treatment.

No one in the history of the pandemic has been documented to have acquired HIV from cunnilingus or fingering. That is why lesbians with HIV are almost unheard of.

You do not get HIV from those activities, no matter what. What concerns me is that you clearly have issues that need addressing, and every day spent chasing HIV is another day you are not getting better.

Hello again,
i am sorry for continuation of this thread, but i am again in deep deppression.
I have visited few doctors with my problems.
Now i know that i have definitely enlarged swollen lymph nodes in the neck (i have been on sonographic detection) for months. Dr. said, that we will wait and see, because they aren't malignant.
I have visited dermatologist for my skin problems and she prescribe only something against acne.
But now i have many new boils on legs and that isn't acne. I even lose some weight suddenly (about 5 kg).
So my thoughts about hiv infection are back.. I even took E-Z trust hiv antibody test (from internet, not approved i know) - negative, but i don't believe to their results much.
As i described i have never had unprotected intercourse (just oral), but i can't explain all of these symptoms in other way..

But i want ask you this question mainly: is possible to infect your female partner by cunnilingus when man is in late hiv stage? I know that normally it's not a risk for anyone, but in this situation?

Thank you.

Stob,

Why would giving cunnilingus be a risk when saliva isn't infectious, no matter what stage hiv a person has?

Why don't you man up already and go get an approved hiv test at a testing center or clinic. You've never had a risk for hiv infection so you are guaranteed a negative result.

Keep working with your doctors to find out what, if anything, is actually wrong with you. Whatever that may be, you haven't had a risk for hiv so it won't be hiv.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

That's happy if not surprising news here. Enjoy that gift and protect it by always without exception using condoms everytime for vaginal or anal intercourse.

Cheers.
