I just got back from my semiannual eval in San Diego and have good news. My CD4 came up 457, 35 %,  VL still pending but a lot better than the 212 in July and I have been undetectable since October 2006 on Atripla.  ;D. Triglycerides and Cholesterol is good as well.

Great news for the news of the year! Who do you see in San Diego?
NB. Any advice about HIV is given in addition to your own medical advice and not intended to replace it. You should never make clinical decisions based on what anyone says on the internet but rather check with your ID doctor first. Discussions from the internet are just that - Discussions. They may give you food for thought, but they should not direct you to do anything but fuel discussion.

I go to Balboa Hospital where I was seeing Dr. Groff but they have been changing our Dr's. I didn't mention it before but since im in the military we have 3 regional hospitals we usually go to Bethesda, MD, San Diego, Portsmouth, VA. I'm stationed in Nevada but they send me Medical TDY to San Diego being the closest for a week.

I know some Drs in San Diego...they are excellent - actually they are world leaders. You are in good hands there!

Best for 2008!

Rich.

Thanks, The ID clinics have some Henry Jackson researchers working there as well. I've participated in 3 research protocols so far, and they coordinate with Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, and NIH across the street from Bethesda, and Portsmouth, VA is on line as well.

Merry Christmas
