Title: 10th year aniversary celebration
Post by: pozattitude on June 10, 2007, 11:05:46 am
2007 marks my 10th year living POZ.  I consider this a major milestone in my life and I am proud of this.
I look back to 1997, I was in my 20's, a senior in college and I remembered my friends who had gotten sick in the late 80's and were no longer around.  I thought my life was over!
So much has changed since.  I know I will get old now, I know I have to think about retirement and the future, but most of all, I am proud to be living with HIV, I am proud to be part of a community filled with wonderful people whose humanity have touch me in ways beyond my expectations.
As I turn 10years old, I want to celebrate my POZ life while making a difference.
I have a habit of getting tattoes or piercings to celebrate important occasions in my life. I got my nose pierced when I graduated high school.  When I came out I had both nipples pierced. I got a tattoe on my 30th birthday and I want to get a new tattoe to celebrate my 10th anniversary.
So here is my idea.
I am asking my friends and family and everyone I meet to sponsor me at the AIDS WALK SAN FRANCISCO.
Every person who sponsors me with $25.00 or more gets to suggest (enter) a tattoo design that celebrates HIV/AIDS.  A week before the walk, the design with most votes gets tattoo on my body.

If you would like to participate (sponsor), you can go to  the the site

and repply to this post with your design.  I will update the thread as designs arrive and announce the winner on July 6.
The walk will take place on July 15.

Thank you in advance.

These are the designs I've come up with so far.  Still working on.
