skinny, and i mean skinny , my butt and legs are simillar. . its stings im in this situation. please dont tell me its not hiv . i cant stand lying to myself anymore. . i have so many questions that need to be anserwed . it crazy what is happening to me. yea i guess i need pity. i admit. i lost my job a while ago, and so and so on.  i need to know if the cdc will take blood sample and do some kind of uncommercial test. im not sure how they handle this. i know its rare, but it scary to be the one in a zillion.

You don't have a rare strain that is undetectable with the tests that are used.

You don't need pity. You need a proper diagnosis of whatever is causing your symptoms. Because no matter what your head is telling you otherwise, HIV is not your problem.

Period.

Let me get this straight..you have been testing for HIV for two(2) years, and every test result you have been given has been a negative one..am I right so far?

If so then why are you here and not out there enjoying your HIV NEGATIVE LIFE...have you any idea what those of us living with HIV would give to be told we were HIV negative...you need to see a therapist and deal with your problems... but rest assure they are not HIV.

name one disease that will make your arms legs skinny. and my butt lots of loss of fat there.  just one.  .

what am i supposed to think? risky exposure swolle n lymphnodes all over, fever, burning mouth for six months. fat loss has become extreme within the last 7 months. mouth sores, skin lesions, go figure. and my doctor is starting to belive . i am getting a cd 4 count tommorrow. i know that a cd 4 count is inapproriate in medical field, but i took one 5 months past exposure and and a year and half past expousre. yes i tested for everything else, today doc gave me a cbc diff. if it was something other than hiv it would have shown up.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Skinny,

You say you "tested for everything else" - if you don't believe your hiv tests, why do you believe those tests? You've ruled out hiv. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv.

Do you know how they discover different strains of hiv? A person tests positive on the antibody test, but there are strange markers in their viral load and genotype tests. All the strains out there will cause a person to test positive on the antibody test. You didn't test positive on the antibody test. You don't have hiv.

I wouldn't be surprised if you've been worrying about hiv when you didn't even have a risk.

I suggest that maybe it's time for you to seek out counseling to get to the bottom of why you cannot believe your negative hiv test.

Please take note of the posting guideline Rodney showed you from the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0). And please consider yourself warned.

Ann

wow ann you did name alot of causes. i appreciate that big time. i did have a gay anal risk. and iknow the exact day . anyways exactly a week later i woke up and my left gland hurt real bad. there was no bump, but it hurt . that lasted 5 days . on that day i went to doctor and doc said you probaly have a viral infection, if it get worse come back. so that day also i went and gave blood at the american red cross. so then two days later under my left armpit swell up . all with fluid it was crazy big, did not hurt only if i pushed in on it. but it was swollen . so that lasted about 6 days, and then i just had a mild pain for a bit. then came burning mouth that lasted six months. then, i went a few months pretty much ok , some minor skin problems. then about 8 months ago i started losing my all the fat in my arms. now my arms are totally skinny. my legs and butt have lost some. now my weight is dropping . first time my weight is dropping. so im in full panic. anyways i did call the americna  red cross two weeks after i gave blood i called  and told them to throw out my blood and they did. they also said i tested clean. so anyways after reading your post i feel better. its just hard cause my people stop having syptoms or were never at risk.  i did have a risk a year and half iearlier and i freaked out for a few months, now i look back at that and laugh. so i know the difference between getting infected and exposed. thanks for your post . you are the first person that said how they discover different strains. i was thinking i have a rare strain. i still do, but i have to think about what you wrote. thanks   i must be negative.

We're not here to argue with you.

You don't have HIV even if your mind is telling you otherwise.

You need to be discussing your concerns with a doctor and getting a proper diagnosis.

However, you can't continue to return here with the same non-HIV situation. If you do you're going to end up getting a Time Out.

You are not infected with HIV. Period.

That's nice about RNA, but it was not designed to be a diagnostic test.

Why are you concerned? What was your risk that even raises HIV as an issue?

Skinny,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV. Any subtype will be picked up by the antibody tests. You do NOT need ANY further testing where hiv is concerned. If you feel unwell, work with your doctor to find out why. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv. You have conclusively ruled hiv OUT of the picture.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

I suggest you seek some professional mental health therapy to find out why you insist on chasing an illness you clearly and conclusively do NOT have.

Skinny,

At this point, it doesn't matter what risk you had. What DOES matter is that you have tested conclusively negative, far outside the three month window period. YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV.

I'm giving you that time out you've been warned about, as it is obvious you're not going to let this rest. Work with your doctor to find out what, if anything, is going on. Whatever it is, it is NOT hiv. And please, for your own sake, ask your doctor for a referral to a therapist so you can get to the bottom of why you insist on chasing an illness you clearly and conclusively do not have.

Ann
