My family is going through a lot lately...

Last June 27, 2014 we were victims to a home invasion. We have gone to court a couple times since last summer. Our attorney has shown for us the few times he needed to be there. In June we planned a vacation for July 5-9, 2014. Our attorney said the next court date would be six months form the last court date in June.
We get a call in late June from the DA's secretary telling us we're subpoenaed for court on July 7, 2014. When my husband mentions our vacation dates the woman says, "you can go on vacation, but a Material Witness Warrant may be issued for your arrest." So when my husband gets irritated I take the phone and tell the woman we will be there.
On July 2, 2014 we're told the court date was rescheduled for September 22, 2014. I told the secretary how upset we are. She says to hold on, another woman answers the phone and tries to tell me what was actually said and I heard wrong. I told her what I heard and her fellow employee was on speaker phone when she spoke to my husband. The woman had no reply, she was caught in a lie.
I called the DA and he said he did not tell them to say that. The DA told me he would call in a couple months to let us know what is going on. I plan on calling once a month. I have an alarm set for August 1, 2014 on my cell phone.
We currently live in a small town and plan on traveling to Billings the end of this month. We're visiting the zoo. My daughter loves animals. Through all this she is planning on going to college. She is trying to decide on Funeral Director/Embalmer or an Animal Rescue person.
Next summer we are also moving to a new state. We found out we don't enjoy country living. everything closes around 2 am. We're used to 24 hour everything.
