Chicago FOOD!
« on: July 01, 2013, 06:16:01 pm »
Hey all of you AMG Chicago 2013 attendees...
I think tasting some authentic Chicago food is a must. Just not sure what that amounts to other than deep dish pizza and funky toppings on hotdogs.
Suggestions?
Looking forward to great food, drinks, and getting to know everyone! :)

Here are a few of my favorite places .

China town is a great afternoon for sightseeing or eating .
http://www.chicagochinatown.org/

Ann Sathers is a great place to eat , the cinnamon rolls are the best . The owner of this restaurant will always have a special place in my heart for the meals on wheels he provided for people with HIV , his restaurant and kitchen were / is always open for those in need . You guys will be by his place when you go to the memorial service so it would be a great place to have lunch or grab a box full of those cinnamon rolls .

Them are fighin' words granny.......  I'll have you know I have always been the proper gentleman.  Well, except for when I got someone pregnant at 14 (youthful indiscretion) and maybe one other time when I achieved the needed requirement for membership to these forums.......   But otherwise -- pure as snow.............

Chicago is the only place I eat deep dish pizza.  They would spit on you if you asked for thin crust pizza.  jalapenos and extra cheese on the well done side will last several days.  If you can't have pizza for breakfast, there's an issue.  :)

Well, Chinatown looks fun but a 3 1/2 mile walk would be impossible for me. Would still love to see it in some fashion.
A visit to Ann Sathers is a great idea!
Thanks Jeff!
