Hi,
I had anal intercource with a condom on.i came inside the person.he is a young man in the massage industry. wen I withdrew I saw that the condom had torn.this was sometime in feb this year.since march I hv been experiencing pain in my testis for which I took medication. to my surprise blood came out during urination sometime in the last week of April. I was sugesstd a cystoscopy along with hiv tests . everything was clear.i had a urine infection. my wife developed warts in her valva in may.i got very scared and in june I did another test for hiv and stds along with her . everything was negative. am I safe .I am depressed and small lumps appear behind my ears and dissappear the next day.pls reply.

You have tested negative for HIV so HIV is not your problem . The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. Most who are infected will test positive by 6 weeks. For various reasons a small number will take longer and that is why we follow the CDC recommendation to test at 3 months for a conclusive negative result. If you have HIV you would have tested positive by now ... so you do not have HIV .

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI.Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence .

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks for the advice. but why am I getting small blisters on my tongue and heaviness on my heat.my forehead is becoming numb.pain in the neck area.pls help.

You should discuss these symptoms with your doctor as they have nothing to do with HIV.

You have conclusively tested negative for HIV, so whatever is happening has nothing to do with HIV.

Thanks a lot for yor reply.but I am still not at peace with myself. I don't have the courage to get another test done.my wife is pregnent and I don't want anything to happen to my wife and child.blisters in the mouth r not going.too stressed and its killing me.guilt and fear psycosis I suppose

What you are experiencing is making yourself sick because you feel guilty for cheating on your wife.  You need to get over this-if you cannot, see a therapist to help you.

You have been told, and I will tell you again, you have not had an HIV risk.  If you continue to have physical issues, you should seek out medical advice for diagnosis.  We do not discuss symptoms, especially when they are not related to HIV. 

Again, you have not had an HIV risk.  If you continue on asking over and over about this, you will be given a time out.  Period.
