For those who may not have already seen it, in the June issue of POZ, the cover story with out HIV+ gay jazz great Andy Bey is written by yours truly.
And just published by University of Wisconsin Press is CAST OUT: QUEER LIVES IN THEATER. It's a collection of pieces by and about lesbians and gays in American theater. My interviews with multiple Tony award winners Cherry Jones and director/producer George C. Wolfe are among them.
That's it... for June.

Andy...Very nice job with your interview with jazz singer Andy Bey...Truthfully I have never heard of the man but I do love Ella Fitzgerald and have some albums with her and also teamed with the wonderful Louis Armstrong...Ditto the great Billie Holiday...And your article is all about him and not you, that is probably what you are like as a person...Furthermore Newark (I've never been there despite spending most of my life in New York) is coming back just like Bey!!! That's encouraging as well.
