So happy...
« on: June 20, 2013, 04:43:03 pm »
I went to my doctor today and I found out I am undetectable still, but my cd4 went all the way up to 1284. Yup... 1284. I am so happy and was happy the time before finding out. I guess happiness, a healthy appetite, and plenty of sleep has been helping me.
My husband gave me a great big hug when I told him.
Now the negative side of things :( ... My cholesterol level is 215, it should be below 200.
I haven't eaten lunch yet. In fact all I had was a cup of coffee, so I stopped at the store on the way home and bought leafy green vegies and tomatoes and fruit. I plan to get my cholesterol down by my next appointment in November.

Congrats on the labs.  And, your cholesterol isn't off the charts or anything.  Although, it always good to think about our diets.

Good for you, but you don't have to eat like a rabbit to lower your cholesterol, just eat what you like in moderation and with more veggies and fruit.
Pray God you can cope
I know you have a little life in you yet.
I know you have a lot of strength left.

I had a sandwich for lunch yesterday and today. It was turkey with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and no mayonnaise. I am just omitting the things that I really don't need too much of.
Like two nights ago I had the worst stomach ache from eating just two donuts and some Fritos, (this was the night before my doctor's appointment). I should not have even done that but I had severe sugar cravings from the time I woke up. I usually wake up wanting sugar.
Today the same cravings, except I had a banana and then I drank water instead of coffee with honey like I normally do. So I am trying to learn what to do to get over the sugar cravings I get the moment I wake up. So far today I am doing good. I did drink a coke with my sandwich, but my daughter and I shared the coke.

Idee, This sounds like diet advice from WillyWump!  In all seriousness, I am not the one to give advice here, I really need to cut down on sugar, beer, and shear volume of food.  As long as you are thinking about it I am sure you will do fine.
