It Gets Better!
« on: November 29, 2010, 03:32:19 pm »
Well, I've done a lot of soul searching, since the last time i'd posted on this site.

I was just going through a really hard time because shit was getting really chaotic. Sorry for being so gloomy and doomy, that's just how I felt then.

I've begun therapy to work through my issues with having HIV.

I'm trying to locate a local support group of other poz people.

I don't have aids, that's why i don't understand why I have HIV related dementia so soon, but my doctor says it's still possible even if you're undetectable....whatever

I have gotten blood work done recently so I will see where I am with my numbers...I'm really scared. From there my doctor will make his decision on what i need to do. I pray God is on my side, and I haven't comprised my life.

I put a calendar by my bedroom door so every time i take medication, i'll know if i did. I cross an X on the day it is once i've taken my meds. It's in a place where i won't forget. It hasn't been on the same time everyday, but it has been everyday for a little while now, so i'm making improvements.

Good to here from you and your post does sound calmer ,good system with the meds also.  I remember my Doc telling me that dementia can have many different causes and types, showing up from 40 years old.

Hope the meeting with the Doc goes well.
Take care

Big hug, Ark..

Happy to read your posting. I was thinking about you. Hang in there and trust that life will get better. I'm really glad to hear you are moving in the right direction. And of course God is on your side. Will be looking for another update.

Hug.. J

Ark, it's good to know you're feeling better. However, I don't ever think an apology is necessary for being "gloomy and doomy" as you call it. It's just all a part of the deal. So always speak your truth and trust that friends here want the real you.

Good luck with talking things through with your therapist. Just say everything and let the chips fall wherever.

Best to you.
