Oooh, Solu Music Feat. Kimblee!  I loved that song... takes me back to 2005-2006.  First time I like one of your recs, Wumpie.

Here's a decent mix by Grant nelson.

Fade - Grant Wilson's Big Room Remix

And just to stay in a Hed Kandi mood, here's Stonebridge Feat. my lady Ultra...

Freak On - Original Mix

Stacey Q - Two of Hearts (the only music you will ever need in your life and the only thing I use as a ringtone)

I actually prefer "We Connect"

Marry me Moon.

And yes, thats a good mix by Grant :)

Here's an awesome version Eric Kupper remix:

I have 8 versions downloaded to my Itunes.

We actually almost got Kimblee to play in Austin at Oilcan's for some ridiculous cheap fee like $2500, back in 04ish, but they didnt like the venue so we tried next door at Rain but a disagreement on the door percentage cock blocked it.

Then there's Kaskade, ANYTHING Kaskade, but notably "Be Still"

If you like Kaskade you may like the one linked below (I love me some Samantha James, especially her single "Rise").  Her latest single came out just a couple of months ago:

That's because Will linked the wrong video.  Notice that both his Kaskade link and the kuntry-westurn URLs are the same.

I started to feel inadequate after the first few unrecognizable music videos.  Don't know if it's a good thing to admit, the only one I recognize is Patsy.

Oh hell...  Here's some Alice in Chains Unplugged along with subtitles because Layne was a little out of it of course.

I'm pondering masturbating.  I've narrowed things down to two video scenes, but I can't decide if I should do a repeat of Brazil or indulge in some muscular redneck.  I even located the redneck in real life on facebook, and he lists himself as straight, Republican and Christian.

I'll let you know how it goes.

*Wiggles his fingers resurrecting a zombie thread!*

I figured to break some of the tension in this place lately it's time for some new (or old) music from artists you may or may not have heard of.

N.A.S.A. (Feat. Kanye West, Santigold, and Lykke Li) "Gifted"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZB7yswo6a0

Lykke Li "I'm Good, I'm Gone"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRFybeuLh54
(acoustic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGP3VSNlwzg

Robyn "Who's That Girl?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdyxEps1uXY

The Knife "Heartbeats"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ow0bA4H3BQ

Oh and if you were curious my list was done in a particular fashion.  Each artist was featured or collaborated in the song before it.  Feel free to join in this thread and repeat that process or just expose our little community to some obscure and good music.

Here is one of my favorite songs. The fan video is good as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCqylnPL79Q

I keep going round and round on the same old circuit
A wire travels underground to a vacant lot
Where something I can't see interrupts the current
And shrinks the picture down to a tiny dot
And from behind the screen it can look so perfect
But it's not

So here I'm sitting in my car at the same old stop light
I keep waiting for a change but I don't know what
So red turns into green turning into yellow
But I'm just frozen here on the same old spot
And all I have to do is to press the pedal
But I'm not

People are tricky you can't afford to show
Anything risky anything they don't know
The moment you try - well kiss it goodbye

So baby kiss me like a drug, like a respirator
And let me fall into the dream of the astronaut
Where I get lost in space that goes on forever
And you make all the rest just an afterthought
And I believe it's you who could make it better
Though it's not
No it's not...
No it's not...

Been listening to long rock songs.   The more psychedelic the better. Sometimes shuffle that up with really new stuff.  Theres a new Lykke Li disc that I should listen to.  I liked the concept of the PJ Harvey but after a few songs I couldn't stand the voice, again.

I don't mind her voice, I just didn't think the songs had the kinda of punch she showed in the past, so I went back to listening to "To Bring You My Love"

with a new disc coming out next month from her, I just came across Sophie Ellis-Bextor and just love her 03 dsc "Shoot From The Hip".

I'm waiting waiting waitng for "Panic of Girls" by Blondie, and "WTF?!" by KMFDM

Has this song gotten too Top 40 for this thread?

Linkin Park "Waiting For The End"  I love this song and love lead singer, Chester Bennington's voice.  Love songs that have personal meaning.  But, isn't that why we love any song.  Well, I do like a lot of techno music where I don't even know what they are saying, but has a good beat to get into the cage on the dance floor.

You were leaning in to speak to me
Acting like a mover shaker
Dancing to Madonna then you kissed me
And I think about it all the time

did you get her disc "21"? Rev Moon turned me on to Adele a few wks ago. She has an incredible voice and some really good music. To me, she's got a kinda Dusty Springfield-esque appeal.

Yes - I just downloaded "21" and am about half way through it now. She's excellent. It's a pefect Sunday-morning-with-a-pot-of-coffee album.

not long ago I took part in a "living with HIV/AIDS" survery and received an Amazon gift certificate. I spent part of the money yesterday to get "Sounds of HIV: Music Transcribed From DNA" by Alexandra Pajak. I had read about this music from another source originally; but our own Mr. Horn recently wrote a short article about this musical composition in Poz.

A classical type piece of music, it is really beautiful stuff - which is pretty amazing from such an ugly virus. From the prelude to the final postlude, the music is very lively, making me think of how active HIV when it's busy doing it's thing of wreaking havoc on someone's immune system. A few times the music took a sad turn, but it just couldn't make me feel too badly for the "poor little" virus. All in all, I enjoyed this disc and found it very interesting to listen to what the HIV genome "sounds" like.
