Title: AMG T-Shirts and CD's
Post by: Dennis on June 28, 2011, 10:13:26 pm
Hi Everyone,

I'm not promising anything, but if everyone will supply me with the info below, my partner and I will do our best to have t-shirts and cd's available for everyone attending AMG in Seattle.

1.  T-shirt size

2.  One song to include on the AMG 2011 CD.

Thanks for reminding me of the AMG tshirts.  Did anyone place orders yet?

Allow me to clarify a little bit on my original post.  There is no need to order a t-shirt this year.  I am going to do my best to make t-shirts available to everyone who attends AMG using Odyssey's design in another thread.

I am also going to attempt to put togethor a cd, like has been done in the past.

For my partner and I to accomplish this in time, I need everyone's support in passing the word around to fellow attendees

Simply supply me with the two pieces of information below and the rest will be taken care of.

1.  t-shirt size

2.  song choice for the cd.

Thanks!
Dennis

Thanks Dennis.  That is very sweet.  It'll take a couple of days of thinking to decide on a song since there are so many great ones that have such deep personal meanings.
Greg.

I've run into a bit of problem with the cd's.  I've logged into Limewire for the first time since this time last year and it appears they have been shut down.  This is the program I've used to download all your song suggestions for the AMG CD.

Can anyone suggest another file sharing program.  Or better yet, is there a way for everyone to email their song.  I know mp3 files can be somewhat large.

Any idea?

Thanks
Dennis

Hi Dennis

I have no idea how to email a song or even download one, but my husband uses a site called "Bearshare" or "Frostwire"..not sure if that will help, but it doesn't do any harm to have a look and check it out.

If that doesn't work out just let me know and I'll send you however much it costs to buy them off of Amazon/Itunes.

I sent you a PM, Dennis, with links to download all the currently listed songs along with some suggestions on how to get anymore. let me know if you have any issues with my links or need any more help to get the rest of the songs. If the way I suggested (4shared.com) doesn't work, I have other ways and can get the songs and post them on my server for you to download.  ;)

(groovedown is another option to get single songs by the way  ;) )

Hi Dennis

With everything you have done for us for the years please don't stress out about the CD's...if it's get too much or you don't have enough time, it's no big deal..we still have our T-shirts.

Aroha and hugs

I'll take a large T-shirt.  The song I was thinking about is the theme jingle that goes on before or after Frasier.  It has the lyrics..."Tossed salad and scrambled eggs...Good night Seattle."

Jody :)

"tossed salad and scrambled eggs...Good night Seattle."
that was a theme song written especially for Frasier.
(here's a link to download it (http://www.filestube.com/cae95a8438b3769503e9/details.html), Dennis)

cute song for this trip ;)

RAB...You simply must do your homework and find a cute song that is Seattle-centric.  I guess it was known at one time for grunge, don't know much about that.  Usually cities or areas have something relative to them, like New York, New York, My Kind of Town for Chicago and I left my heart in San Francisco.

So Google Seattle Music or Seattle- Songs about Seattle- and find something bitch!!! ;)

Or I'll throw a very scaly fish at you at that market- which I hope doesn't smell too badly!!!!

Jody :)

T-shirt size: large

Song: "When I'm Sixty-Four" by the Beatles (because being diagnosed with HIV at 22, I'd love to live to 64!

Let me know if a donation would help make things come together. I feel kind of bad not paying for my shirt, lol.

Seattle is where Grunce was born, but like you I never got into it.  The only song I can think of is that old Perry Como number--"The Bluest Skies You've Ever Seen are in Seattle"  So I guess that's my suggestion.

And if you throw a fish at me it better smell like lilac water or something nice, otherwise you'll regret it.   :P

Thanks for the offer!  This is mine and Jame's contribution to AMG this year.  The t-shirts  won't be of high quality as in the past.  Probably iron-ons which my partner and I will do.  But it will at least be something.  I hope this is o.k with everyone.

Dennis-

For the t-shirts, I should probably send you the file type that you can expand and shrink without it becoming pixelated. I designed the image in a program similar to photochop so I have an image file that you can make nice and large for the iron ons that won't be all spotty. Let me know!
