how long on atripla or sustiva/truvada
« on: March 28, 2009, 11:57:28 am »
Hello everyone. Many thanks to everyone on this site. It has made my life much easier.
Anyway, I have been on Atripla since June 2008 with fantastic results. I am 100% adherent, it works and no side effects. That being said, I hope I can stay on it for a long time. I know atripla has only been around for 3 or so years, but I would like to know how long people have been on this medication or its component parts without side effects or resistance. Is it possible with good adherence to stay on this indefinitely?

I think with adherence you should be able to remain on Atripla for a long while. I have been on sustiva since 1999 taking with comibivir until 2003 or maybe 2004 and then switched the comibivir to truvada still with sustiva and it is still working great.
