Someone here lives in Clearwater, Fl....
« on: November 05, 2006, 10:29:39 am »

Does anyone know which member of the forums lives in Clearwater, Fl ?   The reason I am asking is because I just recently got my Ryan White recertified in Miami.   According to the ASO I am going to, my address has to be in, I guess,   like their jurisdiction or something.  Due to the fact that I am confortable with my doctor,  I felt the need  to give decieving information about where I lived so that I could remain eligible for care there.   Now with the fact that I am about to start meds, I don't think this is such a good idea to continue.   Everything is becoming a distance issue.   I think I need to find an ASO closer to my area.   This way the every 30 day commute for meds would not be so bad, which I wonder if that may pose an adherance issue at some point ( ie car problems or something).

I know there is a member here ..  Does anyone else remember or know?

I wish it was me. I would be over at your place in 2 seconds.  We could work on your car, play chess.  Hell, we could even get our meds together.  How romantic.

Tom,

I am from the Clearwater area. Actually, just a couple miles north, but I am not quite sure I understand what is going on. Are you saying that you are now living in the Clearwater area? Did you need assistance finding a doctor in this area. Private messege, if I can help you some way, I will try. If I don't respond back to you tonight, I will tomorrow.

Hello Tom,

In response to your PM, I am not using Ryan white, or any of the Aso services in the Cleawater area. My doctors office opens at 8:00am tomorrow, I will stop by there, in the morning, and see what information I can find for you. I will then private message that information to you, or let you know on this thread, as soon as I can find things out for you.

Take care----Ray

   Ray,

I went to a HIV doctor here in Sebring about a month ago to see if they could give me some information.    The staff there did not know who Ryan White was!   I wonder if my doctor knows anyone up in these parts.

  Thanks for the help.

Tom,

It looks as though from Sebring to Pinellas county, is probably at least an hour and a half driving time. Still shorter then going to Miami. I am wondering if services available in Tampa, wouldn't be more convenient for you. I will see what I can find for you in the Clearwater, St Pete area, and the city of  Tampa area.
