No Place Like Home
« on: August 05, 2007, 02:28:20 pm »
So...it's been 2 weeks since I tapped together my oxblood-red doc martins (I don't own ruby slippers!) and absconded from the sleepy isle of Greeks back to the not-so-sleepy isle of Brits.

And I’m tickled pink to be able to report…I am so so sooo chilled. A very happy chicky I is indeed. :) Have been enjoying time with family and friends; doing stuff like going for walks with dad in the mornings, cooking with mum (well, more watching mum cook ;D…yes, Miss Melia is lapping up being spoiled!), taking nephews to cinema, catching up with friends à la phone and also over lunch et al.

Yesterday, I had the delightful pleasure of meeting Aidmeds very own ‘englishgirl’ – we met up with Chris (ManchesterUK) for lunch and it was utterly FAB. Lots of eating, chatting and giggling – all truly fantabulous stuff for the soul! ;) Then me and Little Miss English went on a mad shopping spree doing girly stuff, followed by dinner. Just normal run-of-the-mill fun stuff.

I know such normal stuff is probably no biggie to many here, but to me – as someone who has been pretty isolated and very lonely and who hasn’t done much normal stuff for a loooong time – I am absolutely basking in the sheer wonderfulness of now being able to.

---Big Happy Sigh--- :)

Today I went out for a yummy Chinese with my parents; this afternoon I was taking photos of my babies playing in the garden; tonight I’m off to visit more family. Tralala!

I forgot to take photos yesterday mid shopping frenzy (surprise surprise!) but I do have a few snapshots of my babies.

Me and kitty cats are in full agreement with Miss Dorothy: There’s no place like home.

Melia :-*

Sounds comfy, warm and nice bonding vibes, Melia. So looking forward to meeting you in person............. All you English folk, in fact. I could listen for hours to the accents of British, Austrailian/New Zealand, and also of the French.
Have more sweet days like this!

:D I know! Hasn't it been simply splendid since I got back?! 8) Although I must warn you, I'm off on my travels again later this week, so if it suddenly starts peeing kitties and puppies again you'll know why! ::)

Sweetas,

There is no place like home esp when you have not been there a while. Oh how I wish I were home and could stay home... I hope you keep enjoying and posting.

I'm sure you feel like you never left home. I know that's how I use to feel when I went on journeys way back when.
