Post by: scaredofitall on February 14, 2007, 06:00:46 pm
i've had swollen glands..for about 2 years now, they don't hurt, they're not painful AT ALL whatsoever..they also come along with neck pain and aching and...tiredness..somedays im tired sometimes im not....I havent had many risky exposures..but recently i found out i was pregnant and they said i wasnt immune to rubella?? is that because I have HIV or something? and it doesnt work anymore?? or would it still be working since i got the vaccines at such an early age??

and about how many incidents without a condom ABOUT would it take to catch the disease? i know it could be either 1 or 100 or NEVER but...about

my boyfriend has diabetes, if I had the disease would he get it a lot easier???

GRR i hate this, I'm so scared to get tested they just tested me at my clinic since I'm pregnant, but I'm scared of the results..help..

It only takes one time contract HIV. If you are worried about HIV and your unprotected sex, just get an HIV test. Simple as that.

Whoa! Your mind is really going to town on this and without any evidence whatsoever that HIV is involved.

Since you have had unprotected intercourse in the past you do need to get tested. That's #1. Hopefully you will test negative but the only sure way to know for sure is be having an HIV test. Everything else is guesswork and HIV is never something to guess about.

So before you go any further with worrying about your husband or any other issues, getting  tested was exactly the right thing to do.

Incidentally, neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms will ever tell you anything accurately about your HIV status. Only an HIV test can give you that answer.

Keep us posted. Fingers crossed here for you and good luck with your result.

Cheers,
