"Life Support" on HBO
« on: March 08, 2007, 11:30:12 pm »
I saw Queen Latifah on "The View" this morning. She was talking about her new movie that is on HBO, "Life Support". She plays a HIV+ woman. She said that the scenes at the support group has real people that are HIV+. It is based on an actual person. She made some very good statements about HIV/AIDS. She was really tying to get the point across that the abstinence campaign wasn't working and something needed to be done.

I for one am going to watch it.

Hugs
Teresa

Just read Marvelyns blog and shes done her latest blog about the movie.

I saw a short clip of an interview with Queen Latifah--promoting her efforts in Life Support. (Actually, it was HBO promoting HBO.  ;) ) Co-stars claim some serious talent on a serious subject. Can't wait to see it; "work it" girl!

Im a big fan of HBO series and Im sure this one wont disappoint,
The CSI comparisons are going to be so glaring that I dont think that I need to add anything.

I caught about half of it last night and its excellent !!  Latifa really choses some great roles lately, I even liked Last Holiday !! and unlike some 'Other Shows' this one is spot on with their research.. did anyone notice the labels on the pill bottles that latifa's Daughter found it was actually a proper combo  ( combivir and viread I bellieve)
I actually learned something about female condoms !! Cant wait to lay some info on my female friends and watch them gasp in awe at my knowlege.. or possibly slap the taste out of my mouth but either way...  I cant wait to finish.  two thumbs waaay up.
