I passed my degree...
« on: June 22, 2006, 11:42:26 am »
Just got my mark back today I dont know how university degrees are graded in America and other countries but I got a 2:2 that pretty much places me in the average range.  I've got to say though i'm a little disappointed, if you'd offered me that mark 3 months ago I would have ripped your hand off i've just been getting back some really good coursework marks recently so it raised my hopes a little.  End of the day though I missed 6 weeks of uni with my diagnosis in November and one of my lecturers advised me to quit so I suppose I havent done that badly!

WHOO-HOO BABY!

You've done absolutely fantastic! I remember when you were thinking of quitting and I'm so glad you didn't! With everything you've gone through this year, this is a huge achievement and you have every right to be very proud of yourself.

Have fun and celebrate! You certainly deserve it.

Big hugs,
Ann

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

CONGRATS CHRIS!

I must say that your determination to continue with your studies through all that you have to deal with, you're doing an excellent job -- much better than I would have done.  Continue going forward Chris, and in the end, it will all pay off for you.  That is my wish for you.

Be proud of yourself honey.  You've come a long way baby.  I'M DAMN PROUD OF YOU!!!
 ;D

Love,

Trish :)

Aww thanks for the kind words everyone.  John that picture is brilliant i've been close to falling asleep in lessons several times before thats for sure!  No more education for me I think Cliff i've got a big enough student debt as it is without adding to it.  I'm job hunting now had one interview couple of weeks ago but didnt get that one unfortunately but i've got another one tomorrow so fingers crossed, it's 2 hours long though so i'm not looking forward to it!

Chris....

congratulations.  You worked hard and you deserve it.    The personal satisfaction and growth is just so commendable, especially when you top it off with your diagnosis.
