To my most WONDERFUL FORUM FAMILY...
I was catching up on the replies to Paul's thread re: LA TIMES 'Elite Controller' Article this morning, and realized that there was something I wanted to tell you, all of you.
Three weeks ago, I donated 2 BILLION white blood cells to research at the NIH. As I lay on the table, hooked up to the machine that was subtracting my white cells and re-infusing the reds back into my body, here's what I was thinking:
'I am naming a cell after each and every single person I can think of who I have come to know about from AidsMeds. Whether I have connected with them personally or not, they are now in my mind. I recall each and every story, each and every sorrow, disappointment, frustration, and fear. I remember how they have made me laugh, and cry. I want them to know that when I say I hold them in my heart and mind, I mean it. I am hooked up to this strange machine because I want to do this for all of them. It is important that I travel across the miles, do whatever it is I can to help the scientists succeed.'
This is my message for you today. Keep the Faith!

This is very thoughtful of you and have no doubts about everyone here appreciate what Paul and you are doing. Science is the answer...but they can't get any if it wasn't from people like you. :)

I couldn't have said it better. The more research I participate in, the more I feel connected to our AM family. Across the many miles we travel we do this for us, all of us affected by HIV/AIDS.

You sure do know how to make us feel special! I was just telling my case manager how important everyone here on AIDSMEDS.com has been for me this past year. That includes you Zephyr. I barely know you but the one hing I do know is that you are LOVED on here by many.

When you named one "Sonomabeach," I hope you remembered to tell it that from the Mendocino County line to the Marin County line, there is no beach called Sonoma Beach. That geographical oddity came from parents who did not want their children to hear son-of-a-bitch.
I am ever so glad you are willing to travel all the way to Bethesda so those tests can be conducted.
