Unused meds
« on: August 25, 2006, 09:46:44 pm »
Does anyone know what I can do with some unused meds I have left over?  They are already opened but my doc had stopped me from taking some and switched me to another and now I have them and I hate to see them go to waste.  I believe they were from when I had PCP.  Any help would be appreciated. :-\

When the Dr. changed hubbys meds we gave the unused meds to the Dr. She said they would be given to other HIV+ patients that needed them.

You might ask your Dr.

Hi Fran, it is Eldon. Teresa has a good point that you may want to check with your doctor. However, if he/she does not have a use for them then you can give the unused medication to:http://www.aidforaids.org/programs/index.php.

Have the best day.

Fran,

I know that Lisa (formerly known as SweetieWeasel) collects unused meds to distribute to HIVer's in the states who are experiencing difficulties. You could try PM'ing her.

Hi Fran!

You can contact Lisa through her profile.

I sent her some unused shingles meds and they were immediately dispatched to another member who needed them. Lisa rocks!
