stank,

If your condom broke, you would have known about it. YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN. The condom obviously didn't break. If it had, you would have said so, without doubt.

Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv transmission. You didn't have a risk. Take your throat to your doctor to find out what is going on - whatever it is, it isn't hiv.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence. You'll find everything you need to know about condoms in those links, so get reading.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

stank,

What about your weight loss? If you're concerned about it, see your doctor. Symptoms or even the lack of symptoms means nothing when it comes to hiv.

You didn't have a risk for hiv infection.

Stanky,

Please keep all your additional thoughts, questions and comments in your original thread. This helps us to follow your story and give you the most accurate advice.

If you can't find you original thread click on the red link I've provided above. Alternatively you can click on the "show own posts" link in the left hand column of any forums page.

Your questions will not be answered until you return to your original thread.

Since you've decided to squeal 'suicide', I've got no option but to take you at your word. Therefore I have reported this thread to the Moderators for review.

I have merged your threads, please keep all your question here so we can keep track of you...thank you.

As you have already been told you have not put yourself at risk for HIV, whatever problems you are facing you will have to take it up with your Doctor, your weight loss could be caused by all the anxiety and stress you are putting yourself under.

If you are the bread winner in your family then it's your responsibility to go and see your Doctor and get to the bottom of what is causing your problems...talking about suicide is not going to help your family, so maybe some counselling will help you get over this situation...you can ask your Doctor about this also.

If you haven't done so already then please read the Welcome Thread and follow the lessons on HIV transmissions..you need to calm down, take a deep breath and make an appointment to see your Doctor NOW.

OK, the first thing you need to do is to take some good deep and slow breaths in and out. Nice and deep and nice and slow exhaling. And you need to do that again anytime you start tensing up.

Whatever is causing your symptoms has nothing to do with HIV, no matter what your mind is telling you otherwise.

Really.

You used a condom which is exactly what you're supposed to do. The nick or whatever you had on your penis would not have exposed you to HIV transmission IF the person you were with is even HIV+. It is through the urethra or the underside of a foreskin if you're not circumcised that you'd be susceptible to transmission.

As far as your symptoms are concerned, as with any symptoms of any sort, that's never a way to know about HIV status. And there is certainly nothing in any way HIV specific about what you're describing.

So you need to stop with the hysteria and feeling sorry for yourself. That's only going to lead you into more anxiety and upset, all to no good effect. I don't see any cause to be concerned about getting tested because you weren't at risk. If you do decide to get tested I expect you will test negative.

You ought to be discussing your symptoms with a doctor. We can't diagnose them here but again I will just repeat what you've already been told, THIS IS NOT AN HIV SITUATION. Period. End of story.

Stanky,

After exposure? You weren't exposed to the virus at all. Whatever has caused your weight loss, it isn't HIV infection.

stank,

See your doctor about your symptoms. We cannot help you with that here.

A test for you at any time will be conclusive. You did not have a risk.

Stank,

I deleted the post you left in someone else's thread. If you'd read the Welcome Thread like Anniebc asked you to the other day, you would have read the following:

Stank,

You are hiv negative. No surprise there, as you didn't have a risk.
