Hi Members:

Not a happy note to post on Christmas, but perhaps an appropriate day for a wonderful person to be remembered.  After a long struggle with AIDS my friend died just a few days ago due to complications of the disease leaving a partner, family, and many loving friends behind.  He complained little but endured the pain, always having a positive attitude being a long term survivor for 30 years.  There have been similar posts recently of members losing dear friends.  Nothing is harder, and as infrequent as dying from this virus is now, it is a reminder of our loss of friends in the 80's and early 90's.  As with all the people I have loved and lost, a piece of him will forever have a place in my heart.  On a more positive note, I hope this Christmas finds you well and happy, and I wish you all a very healthy new year.

My condolences to you Jim on the loss of your friend . I always set time aside to quietly remember my friends on the holidays and today I will remember you and yours as well .

Just saw your post. So sorry for your loss. I have a friend with end-stage cancer and am fighting through the feelings of loss already. I hope you are well
