Another big headline published here in Brazil following yesterday's Truvada annoucement.

the article is incorrect. truvada was approved for prep yesterday. the article states that it will be approved in september. i guess they missed something.

Yeah I know. Maybe they meant to say that it will start to be sold in September?

Hi guys Mmmmmmmmmm this is very interesting why is there know news of this in any other parts of the world,we have all read about different companies and what they are doing to either cure or increase hiv medicines but at the end of the day they remain words without any truth if there was any truth to these so called maybes were are they as I don't see them happening.

I think you are confusing "end of AIDS" with a "cure for AIDS"

I think what the author was trying to convey is that with expanded treatment (which has been shown to have a preventative effect), combined with Truvada being used as PrEP as well as PEP there may finally be a reduction of new AIDS cases.
