Gut Supplements - New Study
« on: October 20, 2008, 10:58:34 am »
Hi all:

Below is a new study that came out which has identified something I believe is a major issue with immune activation and immune depletion in the gut.

The question I have, does anyone know of the supplements they are using and where I can buy them in a simply pill?

Appreciated!

There is only one I have heard of BIOFIRM DETOX but it has Psyllium in it that can lead to constipation if your system is a bit down.

Anything like this should be looked at.  I take Colestid that regulates me due to my auto immune dance but everyone is different

I've taken this daily now for 3 years.

http://www.digestivecare.com/pancrecarb3.htm

PANCRECARB® disperses with food in the stomach and delivers bioactive buffered pancreatic enzymes into the intestine.  The active enzymes hydrolyze fats into glycerol and fatty acids, proteins into peptides and amino acids, and starches into dextrins and maltose.

PANCRECARB® provides safe and effective digestive enzyme supplementation therapy, which may result in a rapid, significant reduction in abdominal pain, cramps, flatulence and stool frequency associated with poor digestion of foods.

Digestive enzyme supplementation therapy is known to help intestinal regularity and general health.

Hey Thanks for the replies.

I havent been able to find PREBIOTIC supplements that have the same type of ingredients as those used in the study.  In fact, I went to the Vitaminne Shoppe and they have tons of stuff for PRObiotic but nothing about PREBIOTIC.  Strange but true.
There were supplements on the web for PREbiotic but the were relatively expensive.

Perhaps this could be a cheaper natural alternative:
