Bleeding while protected sex with sex worker

Hello Gurus,

Need your help as this is freaking me out.

Yesterday night I had protected sex with a sex worker.
It started with a blowjob (with the condom on), then went to an intercourse for about 2 minutes and then finally a blowjob again. I unloaded myself in the condom itself.

After the session, I took off the condom and found some blood around the neck of my glans, this was because of the over-stretching of the foreskin, causing the inner skin to be over-exposed and as a result minor bleeding. It was actually the area of the inner skin around the frenulum which got over-stretched.

I had the condom on throughout the activity. However, there were times when it did slip off to 2/3rd of my shaft.
I was totally drunk and forgot to wash my penis thoroughly after the activity.
I ain't sure if the sex worker was infected.

If she was, what are my chances of being infected  too.

Please help gurus, I am a f***ing loser and feeling damn irritated.

Hi Ad , you are not a loser , just irritated .

You didn't have a risk , your penis glans was covered during intercourse and that's what is important . We always assume the other partner is HIV positive when we do assessments . HIV is fragile and is damaged when exposed to oxygen its instantly  rendered unable to infect ... so the instant you withdrew your penis it was exposed to oxygen and any virus you may have come in contact with would have instantly been damaged and rendered unable to infect  . You didn't have a risk .

Its also in your favor that no one has ever been infected in the manner you are concerned about .     

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care checkup, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine checkups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Your reply is as clear as it can get. I am already feeling much better.

That was just one thing which was bothering me as I thought I might be infected while taking off the condom. But your statement about the oxygen exposure has cleared that too.

I also read that tearing of the frenulum and the skin around it is quite normal during such activities.
Thank God I was not so drunk, I used a condom.

In any case, as you said, I will surely start the regular yearly checks for the same.
Once done, I will surely be posting the result of the same here, so that others can also be educated about the same.
