Possible risky incident
« on: September 09, 2007, 10:24:43 am »
Hello there,

First of all I have to say that I do feel all people stress over their (not)risky incidents. Since I have a lot of experience in the HIV virus and transmission and having past a window period and the feeling of having to live with the HIV virus I feel no stress at all. I will just state the incident so as to receive some comments about it from the experienced moderators in this forum.

Yesterday I had a lap dance and I can say it was more than this. She let me do fingering in her vagina. The problem is that afterwards when I returned home I noticed that a bump that I had on my finger bleeded a bit. I am sure since I saw the redish little color on the bump. I said to myself ups! Since I remember that I used also this finger. So there it is, I had a finger going in and out in her vigina and it certainly bleeded a bit. This is risky... If the virus was there in her vagina it could certainly found its way in with all this rubbing. I hope not.

So the problem is what now? To tell you the truth I am not afraiid of HIV, life has been so hard on me, HIV wont surprise me if it comes.
I tried to be careful, took all the necessary measures but call it bad luck it happened. Its not my fault.
I need to know the statistics of people getting infected this way. Of course I dont know whether the striper is HIV+, I will certainly not ask her if she is HIV+ and I am certainly not stressed. It just happened, it can happen to anyone.
So can anyone analyze this incident?

Then look somewhere else because fingering is not a risk, even if you have cuts or abrasions on your finger. Unprotect anal or vaginal sex or sharing works with another IV drug user is how you contract HIV.

amm,

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection, regardless of a cut on your finger. Fingering is not a risk for hiv infection no matter what sort of spin you can think of to put on it.

As Rodney says, unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse and sharing drug injecting needles are risks. Fingering is not. Not one person has EVER become infected through fingering and you certainly won't be the first.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you DO NOT NEED TO TEST over this specific incident, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

I know perfectly well that the HIV virus is close to 0% difficult to be contrated by fingering. A bleeding abrasion inside the vagina is risky especially the way I did it. Why do they say that a cut is not risky. This is because that it is virtually not possible to have a cut and then do fingering. It takes a very short time for a cut to heal and then be considered as a no risk incident. In my case the abrassion bleeded in her vagina because of the rubbing. Ups! :-) I am absolutely certain about it.
Ok. As you say it is not possible. As I said I am not stressed but I will do the test just in the case of one in a trillion...
