I will never sleep again! Valerian Herb for Insomnia!
« on: September 23, 2008, 06:57:08 am »
Hi everyone!
 ???

I have a question! I have been having sleepless nights! For a lot of reasons and today I went to my chemist and he gave something  to help me to fall asleep!
He gave me a tea that has Valerian Herb, but I was reading and I got a little bit scared, because says:” While shown to be an effective remedy for the reduction of anxiety, it has also been reported to cause agitation, headaches and night terrors in some individuals”
Ahh Jesus Christ! I think I will never sleep again! Heheh
I tried to Have a warm bath, a glass of  warm milk! Everything! I mind just keep racing and racing! Don’t know what else to do! I go to bed everynight around 5:00 am! And have to wake up at 7:00 am!
So dou you guys know something  that helps to fall asleep?
Any tips?
I really need to sleep but don’t wanna take any sleeping pills!

Thank you in advance!

Try melatonin. 5MGS. You can get it at any pharmacy over the counter. I've used it before, and it worked for me. Talk to your doctor first though, before trying ! When I was using it, I was not on HAART at the time.

Hello,

I used Melatonin for a while, back around 11 years ago, when I went on the 11:00PM to 7:00 AM work shift. It helped to get me to sleep in the daytime. After awhile, I didn't need it any longer.
Just make sure to talk to your doc first. If your having problems with the Valerian root, you may want to stop it.

Take care---Ray
